I walked into the lounge and found him sitting there with a bandage wrapped around his head.

Leith froze.

I still had too many questions.

“Then why did you always act like that?”

“You looked disgusted every time I flirted with you.”

“When I kissed you, you ran into the bathroom.”

“And whenever I dressed up for you, you wouldn’t even look at me. You just hid in your room.”

Leith was quiet for a moment.

Then he typed.

[Because every time you did that, I wanted to lock you away.]

I stared at him.

“You could’ve said something!”

“I misunderstood you for WEEKS.”

Leith looked confused.

“And how do you know I wouldn’t have agreed?”

“You never even asked me.”

His eyes widened

Memories from the basement flashed through my head, and heat rushed into my face.

“Forget it. Let’s go back to school.”

“We can talk about the rest during break.”

Leith immediately typed another question.

[Does this mean we’re together?]
