Reborn: I Quit Fighting Aging to Ruin Her Chapter 04

Reborn: I Quit Fighting Aging to Ruin Her Chapter 04 The Curse Turned
A chill shot from my soles straight to my scalp.
What the hell?
I’d found the way out—so why was I aging even faster than last time?
Aria, what the fuck did you do this time?
I forced myself still, pulled up last night’s security footage, and fast‑forwarded.
There.
Last night, Aria and Eliot had snuck into my apartment.
Aria was holding some weird spray bottle. She sprayed it on my clothes, my bed, even into the humidifier.
Eliot hovered beside her, nervous. “Aria, is this really gonna work? You’re sure no one will find out?”
Aria capped the bottle with a smirk, her malice naked. “Relax. It’s an old trick from my hometown. Foolproof.”
“She’ll die without ever knowing. You’re the one she trusts most. We buy off a doctor, say she died of old age. She’s an orphan with no family—she’ll sign everything over to you before she goes.”
Eliot’s eyes lit up. He pulled her in and kissed her. “Baby, you’re a genius.”
Then they started making out in my living room like it was already theirs.
A metallic taste flooded my throat. I bit my lip so hard I drew blood.
Then barking. Loud, frantic, from downstairs.
And suddenly, it clicked.
A shiver ran through me. My hands shook so badly I almost dropped the phone.
Ten minutes later, I called Aria mid‑stream.
When she saw my name, she excused herself to the bathroom and picked up.
“Aria… please… come save me… I feel so sick… my face…”
I let my voice crack, added a sob for good measure.
A beat of silence. Then she burst out laughing—ugly, unhinged, no more act.
“Hahaha! Sophie, look at you now!”
“You idiot! I did all of this! I should be thanking you, honestly—you’ve been a perfect little sacrifice. Without you, I’d never be the ageless goddess.”
“Your beauty? Mine. Your man? Mine. Everything you have? It’s all mine.”
“The day you die? That’s my rebirth.”
In the background, Eliot called, “Aria, hurry up—your fans are waiting!”
She answered him, then hung up with a cruel laugh.
I dropped the act instantly. The only thing left on my face was a cold smirk.
She bought it. Good. Would’ve been a waste of a performance otherwise.
I switched to my burner account and entered her stream. Aria was blowing kisses at the camera.
“Thanks for the gifts, boys~ Love you~”
“Oh! My top donor’s here! You gonna protect me in PK today?”
Was I? Absolutely.
I dropped dozens of rockets without blinking. Her stream shot to #1 on trending—over 30,000 live viewers.
Aria was ecstatic, almost incoherent.
Then Eliot’s voice cut through—sharp, panicked, off‑camera.
“Aria… your face!”
She shot him an annoyed glare, annoyed he’d interrupted her moment.
But when she turned back to the camera, her eyes went wide.
On screen, her radiant face was sprouting thick, coarse hairs—yellow‑brown—spreading at a speed that made your skin crawl.
