Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 11

Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 11

Brandon dragged his eyes away from the center of the room, realizing it was just typical party games.

At adult gatherings, these games were wild, usually leaning heavily into sexual tension-giving singles a

chance to flirt and couples a chance to show off.

With the image of us sitting close together burned into his brain, he agreed without thinking.

A smirk crossed Emily’s lips as she exchanged a quick glance with a girl across the table.

In the first round, the bottle pointed at Emily. The girl immediately spoke up.

“Rules are rules! Emily, you’ve been mated for so long, your kissing skills must have improved, right? Pick a guy and kiss him for one minute.”

Emily blushed, though there wasn’t a trace of surprise in her eyes. She tugged at Brandon’s sleeve.

When she nudged him again, Brandon kept his lips pressed in a tight line. His eyes drifted to where Vincent and I had our heads close together, whispering and laughing.

He reached out, cupped the back of Emily’s head, and pulled her into a deep kiss.

Cheers and catcalls filled the room.

I glanced over, meeting Brandon’s eyes mid-kiss. Even while kissing his wife, his gaze was like a predator’s,

ready to tear me apart.

A low voice muttered in my ear.

“Eyes open during a kiss? Greedy, hypocritical bastard.”

I turned toward Vincent’s shoulder, my lips brushing his cheek-a whisper of soft skin against skin.

The noisy cheering died down as Brandon released her. Half his face was hidden, but the corners of his eyes

were flushed red.

“Alright, alright, next round!”

The bottle spun again.

This time, it stopped right in front of me.

Emily smiled.

“Pick one-my husband or Vincent. Take off your jacket and shawl so you’re just in your top, then beg him to

lend you a coat.”

The dare was blatantly provocative.

A few people gasped. Someone shoved the girl next to Emily. “Are you serious? That’s way out of line!”

Another girl jumped in to smooth things over. “It’s just a game! Emily did her dare, so Olivia won’t back out,

right?”

It was the same girl who had egged Emily on.

“Forget it,” Brandon and Vincent said simultaneously.

“You really are used to taking whatever you want,” Brandon added coldly.

The girl’s face turned pale at Vincent’s sharp tone.

“You talk nasty,” she hissed. “I didn’t expect someone so cold to have such a filthy mind.”

Vincent crossed his long legs, completely unfazed. “Clean words are reserved for clean people.”

“Why you-!”

I cut her off, reaching for my glass. “I forfeit. I’ll take the drinks.”

The anger vanished from her face, replaced by a triumphant grin. “One glass isn’t enough. Ten shots.”

Vincent moved to step in, but she sneered, “Can’t handle the penalty, or can’t afford the liquor?”

I placed a hand on his arm, motioning for him to stay calm. “It’s fine. I can hold my drink.”

I forced down all ten shots.

Setting the last glass back on the table, my vision blurred slightly. I held my head. “I’m heading back. Enjoy

the rest of the night.”

Vincent stood up to support me. “Should I get you something for the hangover?”

I waved a hand. “No need. I just need to sleep it off. Take me home.”

He guided me toward the door. As we passed Brandon, his hands clenched tightly on his lap, though he didn’t

rise.

On the drive back, Brandon stared out at the passing streetlights, his voice laced with ice.

“As the heir of the Whitemoon Pack, the man commanded every room he walked into.”

The fake smile faded from Emily’s face as she stared out the window. “What? Does your heart ache for her?”

“We ended things a long time ago. Stop dragging her into this.”

His words exploded like dynamite, shattering whatever composure Emily had left over the past two days. She spun around, yelling at him.

“I’m dragging her into it? Or is it that you never let her go?!”

“Don’t think I don’t know! You wear her ring during the day at the office, and swap it back for mine when you

come home at night!”

The car slammed to a halt, tires screeching brutally against the pavement.

Emily clutched her bruised forehead, tears brimming in her eyes as she glared at him. “Surprised I found

out?”

“Your secretaries, the receptionists, the directors-everyone in your company reports to me!”

Brandon turned to face her, his eyes cold and menacing. Yet, remembering their vows, he forced himself to

calm down.

“Emily, you chose this, didn’t you?”

“Now that you made your choice, live with the consequences. I failed as a partner, but Olivia has never

crossed the line.”

Hearing him finally confess, Emily let out a bitter, mocking laugh. “You really think she’s over you?”

His gaze tightened. “What did you do?”

“I mixed an illegal heat stimulant into those ten shots,” she sneered. “The exact same kind I used on you.”

Brandon violently grabbed her collar. “Are you out of your fucking mind?!”
