Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 07

Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 07

For the first time, a faint smile touched Vincent’s face, his words crisp and powerful.

“With your Emily’s sister, Olivia Voss.”

He delivered the phrase Emily’s sister with calm, lethal precision, as if he had been waiting for this exact

moment.

Brandon’s hands clenched at his sides, joints cracking loudly.

The two men stared each other down, neither backing an inch, an invisible war raging between them.

“Brandon, why are you back so early for lunch?”

Emily stood up and led him to a seat right across from me.

She smiled and explained to him, “This is Alpha Vincent. We used to play together when we were kids, and he

even attended our mating ceremony. You haven’t forgotten, have you?”

Her voice pulled Brandon back to reality.

He snapped back into his usual calm, refined composure.

“Of course I remember. How could I forget?”

The last sentence came out through clenched teeth.

I suddenly remembered that brutal basketball game where both sides ended up battered.

“What I asked was, who is he talking about marrying?”

Emily’s smile faltered slightly as she gave his arm a gentle, subtle squeeze.

“Listen to you… there’s only one unbonded girl in this house. It’s not like it could be me.”

Unable to stand the suffocating atmosphere at the table, I stood up.

“I’ll go grab my medicine from the kitchen.”

As if remembering what I had said this morning, Brandon’s face instantly went cold, throwing a provocative

glare toward Vincent.

Vincent maintained an unreadable expression.

Under the table, however, his expensive suit trousers were gripped so tightly they creaked.

When I brought the tonic out, two pairs of eyes locked onto me.

I walked slowly toward the table. Brandon had already stood up, reaching out to take it from me.

I pulled my hands back, placing the bowl directly in front of Vincent instead.

“Stop staying up late so much. It ruins your stomach.”

Vincent’s eyes remained cool, yet looking at me, they somehow sparkled like a golden retriever wagging its

tail.

I dodged his gaze and sat down beside him, only then realizing someone was still standing across from us.

“No need to bother you, Alpha. The tonic bowl is hot, so I brought it on the tray for him.”

The words stung him visible. His eyes darkened deeply as he sat back down.

“Olivia, are you this attentive with every blind date?”

There was an obvious double meaning in his words.

Not wanting Vincent to misunderstand, I spoke up.

“Alpha, your memory serves you wrong. This is my very first blind date.”

The implication was clear: I was only attentive to Vincent.

Maybe the person I once cared about was him, but facts had proven he wasn’t worth it.

After that sentence, he fell silent.

My mother jumped in to smooth things over.

“Let’s not dwell on that. Today is about matching these two young people up. Let’s ask what the main pair

thinks.”

At the mention of this, Vincent sat up straight.

“Alpha Theodore, Luna Ophelia, I am twenty-eight years old, no relationship history, no ambiguous connections, and a total neat freak. There is zero chance of me cheating. My parents have a stable marriage, and you know the rest of my background. I am completely satisfied on my end. Everything else depends on

Olivia.”

In one breath, his words turned two faces at the table from pale to furious.

My mother, however, was thrilled. In that moment, she seemed to transform into a loving mother who only

wanted the best for me.

“We know your family well. But even though our family isn’t as grand as yours, we won’t let our daughter be

wronged when signing a mate contract.”

Vincent nodded.

“Rest assured, Luna Ophelia. Before the wedding, I will transfer fifteen percent of Whitemoon Pack Group’s

shares to Olivia. Along with three properties: a downtown penthouse, a hillside estate, and a coastal villa.”

“On top of that, our family tradition is to hand over all earnings. If the mate contract is ever dissolved, all post-marital assets belong entirely to Olivia. Though, of course, I will never let a dissolution happen.”

The more my mother listened, the more delighted she became, practically ready to sign off on it for me. She

looked at me.

“Olivia, what do you think?”

I glanced at Vincent. His hands rested on his thighs, repeatedly clenching into fists and relaxing, looking completely restless.

I smiled.

Just as I opened my mouth to speak, Brandon cut in sharply.

“Mom, marriage is a huge decision. It can’t be settled over a single meal. Let’s take it slow.”

A bucket of cold water poured over my mother’s excitement, and she nodded hesitantly.

“Right, right… I just wanted to ask how Olivia feels about Vincent.”

Using the serving chopsticks, I picked up a piece of fish and placed it in Vincent’s bowl.

“I’m fine with it. We can spend some time getting to know each other first.”

Screech-

The harsh scrape of a chair dragging against the floor shattered the quiet.

Everyone’s gaze snapped toward Brandon.

Even the dense could tell what was going on by now.
