My Meek Desk Mate Is the Secret School Tyrant Chapter 10

The next few days felt off.

Walking through school, kids who looked like trouble would bow to me when they saw me.

One or two, I figured they’d mistaken me for someone else. But on the way from class to the cafeteria, seven or eight people in a row bent at the waist. It was surreal.

I was too scared to ask. Every time someone bowed, I bowed back. They’d bow even lower, look terrified, and

bolt.

“Sleepyhead. Any theories?” I poked Orion.

He’d been asleep on the desk. The second I touched him, he shot upright.

His face went red for no reason. He wouldn’t look at me. He just muttered, “Maybe they just like bowing.

Don’t overthink it.”

“Then what’s going on with you lately?” I narrowed my eyes and examined him.

“You flinch whenever our eyes meet. You jump every time I touch you. Your face turns red constantly.”

I dragged out my words in sudden realization. “Ohhh. I get it.”

He tensed. “Get what?”

I jabbed him with my finger. “Are you hiding some guilty secret from me?”

Orion’s eyes flickered. He mumbled under his breath, “Things in dreams don’t count as guilty secrets.”

Too quiet. I didn’t catch it.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

“Fine. Don’t forget this weekend. My place.” I raised an eyebrow and grinned. “The tools are here.”

Orion went red again.

I knew something was up with him.
