My Meek Desk Mate Is the Secret School Tyrant Chapter 09

I nearly cracked my skull open trying to come up with a way to make up for slapping Orion.

The bullying before was small stuff. This was a public face slap. Couldn’t fix it with cute pens and snacks.

I tossed and turned all night. By morning, I had a plan and raccoon eyes to prove it

I dragged myself to school. Orion slid his usual pre-prepped breakfast onto my desk. “What did you do last

night? The circles under your eyes are insane.”

I grabbed the milk and took an aggressive sip. “Thinking about you.”

Orion choked on his sandwich. Coughed hard. When he recovered, his eyes were flustered. “Thinking. What?”

“You.”

His throat moved. He stared at me.

I kept sipping. Kept talking. “I spent all night trying to figure out how to make it up to you. And I finally did.”

“Oh.” He turned away. “That kind of thinking.”

“What other kind?”

“Nothing.” He bit into his sandwich and looked at me. “So what’s the plan?”

I grinned and leaned in close. “Come closer. I’ll whisper it.”

His guard shot up. His whole face went red. “What are you doing?”

“It’s. Not something I can say out loud.”

Our heads were bent together. I held up a giant textbook as a shield.

“This idea I came up with. It might offend you. So I’m not sure you’ll agree.”

Orion’s throat moved. “How… offensive?”

“It involves a little bit of… force.”

Behind his glasses, his pupils contracted sharply.

I bit my lip and kept going. “And once we start, there’s no stopping. No take-backs.”

I looked up. Orion’s face was steaming red.

I tilted my head. “Why is your face so red? Is it too hot?”

He stared at me with an expression caught somewhere between disbelief and surrender. “You bookworm.

You’re into… this kind of thing?”

I hurried to explain. “It’s honestly just my way of relieving academic stress. But if you don’t want to, that’s

totally fine.”

“That’s why I wanted to whisper. It’s kind of forward. And I feel like our relationship hasn’t exactly reached

that stage yet.”

Orion sat bolt upright. Took off his glasses. Pinched the bridge of his nose. Kept breathing deeply.

“Give me a second. To mentally prepare.”

I nodded obediently. “Yeah. Think it over.”

I added, “But it’s the kind of thing where it hurts so good. I think you’ll slowly come to love it.”

Orion froze.

He lifted his eyes. His brows drew together. “How… how did you know? Was it because of the slap?”

I blinked. What did the slap have to do with anything?

I said, “I’ve been observing you for a long time. I think you have real potential.”

Orion let out a very long breath. Like some internal battle had finally ended.

“Fine. I’ll do it.”

“Yes!” I was thrilled. “Let’s start next week. At my place. I still need to prep the tools.”

Orion’s entire body went rigid. The red spread from his face down his neck and behind his ears. His voice

stuttered. “There are. Tools?”

I patted his shoulder with full confidence. “Just leave yourself in my hands. I have a lot of experience with

this.”
