I Let Him Marry Me So I Could Expose Him At The Wedding Chapter 02

How did I know the person who made that post was Miles?

It all started to a few nights earlier.

Thinking about it now, that was the night I told him Serena would be coming two weeks early to help with the final prep.

Miles did not react much at the time, and I had not paid attention to his expression.

But I guessed his head must have been spinning.

Because not long after, once he came out of the bathroom after his shower, he suddenly went out onto the balcony and stood there in the wind for a long time.

I could tell something was bothering him.

I walked up behind him, wrapped my arms around his waist, and pressed my cheek against his broad back.

“Something on your mind?” I asked. “If you’re upset, you can tell me.”

Miles did not move.

“No,” he said lightly. “Don’t overthink it.”

We had been together for seven years.

Usually, even the slightest crease between his brows was enough for me to tell whether he was irritated, angry, or simply impatient.

But since he did not want to talk, I did not keep pushing.

Instead, trying to be helpful, I gave him an idea.

“You should make an account online,” I said.

“Post whatever is bothering you and ask people for advice. Strangers on the internet are surprisingly insightful. They’ll probably come up with something better than you can on your own.”

Miles only smiled.

He clearly did not believe me.

My competitive streak kicked in.

I let go of him, went back to the bed, grabbed my phone, and signed him up right then and there.

At the time, I had no idea the thing weighing on him had anything to do with Serena.

Serena had been my roommate all four years of college.

When Miles and I were dating back then, he had met her plenty of times.

That was why I could not understand it.

If the two of them had feelings for each other, they could have gotten together back in college.

Why wait until I was days away from walking down the aisle to start some high-stakes underground romance?

No matter how hard I tried, I could not make sense of it.

But it had happened anyway.

Late that night, less than ten minutes after Miles posted, hundreds of new comments had already appeared beneath it.

More kept coming in by the second.

I skimmed through them.

Unsurprisingly, nearly all of them were telling him to stop ruining her’s life and run off with his shameless other woman as far as possible.

[One user called him disgusting, mocking the fact that he’d done something so filthy and was now pretending to be “considerate” of his fiancée’s feelings.]

[Men like this are always so calculating. If the bride found out he’d fallen for someone else, she’d probably blow up his whole life, and he knows it. That’s why he doesn’t dare tell her.]

[Boost this post. I hope the poor bride sees it before the wedding. Girl, please do not marry this man.]

I was lucky.

I really did see it.

But unlike them, I wanted the sham of a wedding to happen on schedule.

That was why I used a burner account to leave that comment.

Today, when I looked into Serena’s eyes, I saw her ambition clearly.

She wanted Miles.

She was determined to have him.

There was no way she would allow him to marry me.

And if she was going to stop it, I wanted her to do it at the wedding ceremony.

After all, I had a gift for them too.
