I Was Sent to the Casino Tycoon as Debt Repayment Chapter 01

Chloe Sterling, the fake heiress, lost two hundred million at the tables in a single night.

To cover her debt, my parents took me away while I was pregnant and planned to send me to the heir of the casino empire.

“Elena, don’t blame us. We have no choice. If we can’t repay, Chloe will be in serious trouble.”

“I heard the heir has been looking for someone special. If you go to him, the debt will disappear. We’ll pick you up in the morning.”

“Nobody even knows the truth about that baby. You might as well help solve your sister’s problem.”

I placed a hand on my belly and exhaled.

If they had told me from the beginning that they were bringing me to him, I wouldn’t have fought back.

They had created chaos for no reason.

The real question was how Victor Thorne would react when the woman he cared about appeared before him after everything they had done.

I was counting on a reckoning.

This nightmare had started an hour earlier.

I’d just returned from my prenatal appointment when my parents suddenly showed up and took me away.

Bit by bit, their conversation filled in the blanks.

Chloe had lost two hundred million, and their solution was to bring me to the heir of the Thorne casino empire — Victor.

My breath caught when I heard his name.

He was back?

Then why hadn’t he come for me?

I’d left him a message.

Chloe turned to me, her face arranged into something resembling remorse.

“Elena, I’m so sorry. This is all because of me.”

She let her voice tremble.

“But two hundred million — I can’t fix this.”

“If I had known Victor was looking for someone, I swear I would’ve handled it myself.”

I took a slow breath until the tension in my stomach eased, then looked directly at her.

“So… you’re the one who convinced Mom and Dad to send me here.”

Mom reacted before I could finish.

Her voice was filled with panic.

“Nobody is abandoning you. It’s just one night. One night that could solve your sister’s crisis.”

“And Victor runs this entire city. Without your current situation, you wouldn’t even have a chance to get close to him.”

The laugh that came out of me didn’t sound like laughter.

It was the sound of anger finally breaking through.

Everyone in Bay City knew Victor’s name.

You could challenge him and still walk away.

But crossing Elena Vance meant facing consequences no one wanted to deal with.

The last person who dared betray me learned exactly what Victor was capable of before leaving Bay City for good.

If he found out the woman he protected had been used as part of their plan, these people would regret every decision they made.

I turned away and closed my eyes.

There was nothing left to say.

Chloe mistook my silence for fear.

Satisfaction flashed across her face before she hid it.

She leaned closer.

“I lost that money on purpose, Elena.”

“I wanted to see who Mom and Dad would choose.”

A smile appeared in her whisper.

“They chose me.”

Her fingertips brushed past my shoulder, cold as a blade.

“All it took was a few tears, and Mom was ready to choose my side.”

“You should’ve stayed away — living your quiet life somewhere else.”

“But you came back and tried to take what I wanted.”

Her voice lowered.

“I’m only safe in this family when you’re no longer standing in my way.”

My eyes opened.

Every trace of calm disappeared.

My parents not loving me?

Fine.

I could accept that.

But being betrayed and pulled into a trap by my own sister?

That was something I would never forgive.

Something inside me snapped.

I moved before Chloe could react and acted out of pure anger.

Chloe screamed and tried to pull away.

“Are you insane?! What is WRONG with you?”

I stepped back and looked at her calmly.

“Yeah. I am.”

Chloe raised her hand.

Then she stopped.

My eyes never left hers.

I lifted an eyebrow.

“Go ahead. But you know exactly what happens when you push me too far.”

Rage flashed across her face, but she couldn’t hold my gaze.

“Whatever. You won’t make it through tonight anyway. Why waste my breath on someone who won’t last?”

Mom pulled Chloe close, comforting her as if she were the one who had been hurt.

She looked at me with nothing but disappointment.

I closed my eyes.

A smile I couldn’t hide appeared on my face.

The moment Victor saw me, they would understand exactly who they had underestimated.

I just hoped he would make it quick.

But Victor was never the merciful type.
