I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 04

I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 04

The office fell into a dead, suffocating silence the second the call connected.

Chloe Jenkins snapped her head up, her eyes locking onto my phone.

Dean Vance’s face contorted, and he lunged forward, clawing at my device.

“What are you doing? Who told you to call the cops?”

I sidestepped his reach easily.

Speaking clearly into the receiver, my voice remained ice-cold.

“Yes, Hudson University, Office of Student Affairs. Someone is accusing my son of attempted sexual assault, but I suspect extortion, malicious slander, and a frame-up. Send officers immediately.”

I hung up and locked eyes with Vance.

“What’s the rush, Dean Vance? A crime belongs to the authorities department. Since when does the university hold judicial power?”

Vance shook with pure rage, his finger trembling as he pointed it straight at my nose.

“You are completely out of your mind! We keep our dirty laundry to ourselves! You’re destroying the school’s reputation just to make a scene!”

Arthur Miller lost it, grabbing his head and screaming like a lunatic.

“Valerie! If you want to ruin your life, don’t drag me down with you! The second the cops get here, the whole campus will know! Where am I supposed to hide my face? How is Ethan ever going to survive this?”

He whipped around toward Ethan, his eyes shot with blood.

“You ungrateful piece of trash! I’ll beat you to death myself before I let you ruin this family!”

His fist flew back, aiming straight for Ethan’s face.

I grabbed the heavy insulated mug from the desk and slammed it violently at Arthur’s feet.

A sharp, booming thud echoed through the room.

“Touch my son again, Arthur, and see what happens.”

I glared at him, my eyes sharp enough to draw blood.

“You’re pathetic. You play the spineless coward out there, but you come home to play the big man. Someone dumps garbage on your own son, and instead of finding the truth, you try to force him to his knees. What kind of man are you?”

Arthur choked on his words, his jaw hanging open.

Right then, the office door was kicked open with a loud bang.

A crowd of students surged into the room, their phones held high.

Camera flashes went off like a frenzy of lightning.

“He’s right there! The predator is in there!”

“Scumbag! Get the hell out of Hudson!”

“Stand with Chloe! Lock him up!”

Leading the pack was Logan Harrington, the wealthy kid from earlier.

He pointed a finger right at Ethan.

“Take a good look, everyone! This is our Valedictorian and National Merit Scholar! What a hypocritical monster!”

Outside, the hallway was completely packed, three layers deep with angry students.

Seeing the crowd, Chloe shrunk back into the corner of the sofa, trembling violently.

“Stop filming… please, stop filming…”

She wept beautifully, her tears instantly driving the boys into a protective frenzy.

“Don’t worry, Chloe! We’ve got your back!”

“The school needs to expel him right now!”

The room dissolved into absolute chaos.

Vance wiped the sweat from his forehead, masking his face with a look of profound heartbreak.

“Calm down, everyone! The university will handle this with the utmost severity! No exceptions!”

He leaned into me, dropping his voice to a harsh whisper.

“See this? This is what you get for calling the cops! The whole school knows, and the media will be next. Your son is officially done.”

Arthur slumped against the wall, his face the color of ash.

Suddenly, he hollered out to the crowd outside.

“This has nothing to do with me! I already disowned him! His mother is the one protecting him!”

Ethan stood right behind me, his fists clenched so hard his arms shook.

“Mom…”

I gripped his freezing hand tight.

“Keep your head up.”

“Let them film. The clearer, the better.”

A middle-aged man in a sharp tailored suit pushed through the crowd.

It was Vice Chancellor Davis.

He took one look at the absolute riot in the office, his eyebrows knitting into a tight, angry knot.

“What is this circus? Disperse immediately!”

Davis walked in, glancing from Chloe over to Ethan.

“Vance, give me a report.”

Vance scrambled forward, twisting and inflating the story with every word.

Davis listened, his expression darkening as he turned his gaze on me.

“Ma’am, a university is a place of higher education, not a flea market for your drama.”

His tone left no room for argument.

“This is a severe allegation. To quiet the student body and preserve the university’s honor, Ethan Miller is suspended effective immediately pending a full investigation. All his scholarship and honors eligibility are frozen.”

He looked directly at Ethan.

“Apologize to Ms. Jenkins right now, pack your things, and go home.”

Arthur looked like he had just been granted a stay of execution.

“Thank you, Chancellor! Thank you for your mercy!”

He whirled around and barked at Ethan, “What are you waiting for? Apologize!”

I stared right back at Davis, refusing to move an inch.

“Suspension? An apology, Vice Chancellor Davis?”

“Is this how you run an institution? No evidence, no investigation—just whoever cries loudest wins the verdict?”

Davis’s face hardened.

“Ms. Miller, the security camera on the north side of the library has been down for a month due to a maintenance oversight. But Ms. Jenkins’s injuries are undeniable. Are we supposed to break a victim’s heart just to shield a predator?”

“The camera’s broken, you say?”

I nodded slowly.

“Fine.”

Right on cue, the sharp wail of sirens cut through the air outside.

Red and blue lights strobed against the windows.

The authorities had arrived.
