He Mistook Me for Her. His Brother Fell for Me Chapter 18

The night before Julian left, I saw his car downstairs.

It stayed there all night.

When I woke up the next morning, it was still there.

I sighed.

Just then, his call came in.

The man’s voice was hoarse.

It sounded as if he hadn’t slept at all.

“I’m leaving.”

“Mm. I know.”

He said again, “Do you remember? When we were chatting back then, you told me you really wanted to study

abroad. I can actually help you with that…”

I took a breath and cut him off.

“Mr. Whitmore.”

“I’m not someone who likes revisiting the past.”

He was silent on the other end for a long time.

“Sorry.”

“I was being stupid.”

He always seemed to be apologizing to me.

But to me, those two words were the most useless things in the world.

I said, “Next time we meet, I hope you’ll have found someone truly right for you.”

He sighed quietly.

It was almost inaudible.

But I still heard it.

He said,

“There won’t be anyone else.”

I lifted my head and looked at the sky in the distance.

There wasn’t a cloud in sight. A cool breeze moved through the air.

It was another brand-new day.
