After that day, I ran into Julian constantly.

He started discussing a partnership with the company where I interned.

“I already regret it.”

I said, “But I don’t like you now. Besides, Noah is your cousin. If he knew you were doing this, what would he

think?”

At that, Julian let out a cold laugh.

“He stole my girl and he’s the one who gets to be righteous? Without me, would you two have ever met?”

I looked at him.

“Exactly. So weren’t you the one who pushed me to him yourself?”

As soon as I said it, Julian looked flustered.

I shook my head.

“No need to explain. I know.”
