His Disabled Sweetheart Stole My Wedding, I Wed His Rival Chapter 01

Chapter 1 To Marry His Rival

To give his childhood sweetheart Kaleigh Cotton, who was paralyzed from the waist down, one last wedding, Kane Jones even pushed our own wedding aside.

When I rushed over to confront him, the two of them were already at the “you may kiss the bride” part.

The moment he saw me, Kane looked impatient, like I had just crashed his big moment, disgust written all over his face.

He frowned and said, “Kaleigh doesn’t have much time left. Is it so wrong for me to grant her wish?

“Anastasia, when did you get so petty?”

I threw the engagement ring he had given me.

“Fine. I’m not petty.

“Let’s call off the engagement.”

Later, I turned around and married Kane’s biggest rival instead.

He completely lost it.

“Kane, Anastasia, please don’t fight. It was all my fault.”

Kaleigh’s eyes were full of tears, her whole look soft and pitiful.

And she was wearing the wedding dress I had spent almost half a year designing with a custom designer.

She rolled her wheelchair forward and grabbed my hand.

“Anastasia, don’t blame Kane. I was the one who begged him to go through with this wedding. If you have to blame someone, blame me. I don’t have much time left anyway. I won’t live long. I will do anything as long as you forgive him.”

“Anything?”

My gaze cut straight to her.

She nodded again and again, tears falling nonstop.

“Great. Then go die.”

She froze for a second and sobbed, “Anastasia, I only wanted to have a wedding before I’m gone. Do you really have to be this cruel?”

“Weren’t you the one who said you would do anything?”

“Anastasia, you’re going too far.”

A strong hand yanked me to the side, Kane’s cold eyes locked on me.

He said, “I was wrong to hide this from you and have a wedding with Kaleigh behind your back. But can’t you show a little mercy? Kaleigh can’t walk and the doctor said she doesn’t have much time left. She just wanted to fulfill one last wish. I helped her. What is so wrong with that?”

“No problem at all. Since she is dying anyway and you already had the wedding, letting her go a little earlier doesn’t sound that bad.”

I looked at him and anger flashed across his face.

He seemed to have completely run out of patience. Kane frowned and said, “Anastasia, do you really have to be this harsh?”

“Harsh?”

I let out a laugh.

“Our wedding is tomorrow. And the day before it, you used the wedding dress I spent months designing and the venue I handpicked to marry another woman. I am the one being harsh? Kane, who exactly is being harsh here?

“After helping her get her dream wedding, then what? If she doesn’t die, are you going to help her with the whole husband and wife thing too? Maybe even give her a baby while you’re at it?”

Kane snapped, “Anastasia, when did you become this bitter and mean?”

“Kane, stop fighting. It was my fault today. Anastasia was right. I should have died a long time

ago.

“I will go die right now.”

As soon as she said it, Kaleigh suddenly pushed her wheelchair forward at full speed and

hurled herself straight into the fountain.

“Kaleigh!”

Kane rushed after her and jumped right in.

He dragged her out. Kaleigh curled up in his arms, crying in that helpless, pitiful way she had.

“You want to kill yourself and you pick a fountain you cannot drown in?”

I looked at them with a cold face.

Kaleigh trembled and her tears fell even harder.

“Anastasia, you are being too much.”

Kane snapped at me, then immediately turned to comfort her.

He lifted Kaleigh into his arms and walked up to me.

“Anastasia, I am telling you this. I am marrying her today no matter what, and our wedding tomorrow will go on as planned.

“Go home and get ready.”

Then he walked off with Kaleigh in his arms.

I pulled out my phone right away and called Kane’s biggest rival.

“Hey, are you free tomorrow? Let’s get married.”

“Sure, Anastasia. So you really are not marrying Kane anymore?”

On the other end, Jaylen Wilcox sounded amused.

I kept my tone serious.

“I mean it. Are you coming or not?”

“I am coming. Just tell me what time you want me to come get you tomorrow.”

After hanging up, I called my parents and Kane’s

parents.

Then I found a seat and waited for the show to start.
