My Future Self Exposed My Mom’s Secret Sacrifice Chapter 08

Kian snatched up the call, his face turning sickly pale the second he heard his personal aide Aiden Cross’s panicked voice crackling through the speaker.

“Sir, the corporate accounts are locked. Almost all available cash has been frozen by investor order.”

Every director in the boardroom turned to stare at Seraphina.

Seraphina stood tall, her tone icy and final as she delivered her verdict to the whole room.

“I built Vertis Group entirely with my family inheritance. Not a single dollar of Kian’s money went into its founding.”

“Now that I’m cutting ties with this company, every asset I contributed reverts back to my full

ownership.”

She tossed out a sharp reminder, a faint cold smile tugging her lips.

“Don’t waste your time plotting to seize the Iberian subsidiary either.”

“I separated that subsidiary last year. Every share is registered solely under my name, with zero outside ownership rights for anyone else to claim.”

No one on this board has legal authority to touch a single cent of it.”

“Understood?”

Seraphina took my hand to lead me out of the boardroom, tossing one final disgusted glance back at

Kian as we walked past.

“When we married, I injected five billion dollars of my personal wealth into this business. Over a decade later, you haven’t earned even a fraction of that investment back.”

“You’re nothing more than a failure.”

The next day at Holloway High School, Liora couldn’t bring herself to meet my eyes even once.

Several classmates chatted excitedly about her upcoming birthday party, planning to drive out to

Westbrook Estates to celebrate at her mansion.

Liora forced a hollow, fake laugh to agree, but resentment burned bright in her eyes when she glanced my way.

She raised her voice loud enough for the entire classroom to hear.

“Everyone’s invited except Elowen.”

All heads snapped toward me, filled with curious judgment.

Liora kept streering, her words dripping with malicious insinuation.

“I’d rather not have her at my party-She’s mixed up in some seriously shady stuff.”

“Her presence would ruin the whole mood for everyone else.”

Her words did exactly what she wanted. Whispers spread across the room.

I didn’t reply at all, simply walking quietly toward the classroom doorway.

Seraphina appeared at that exact moment, surrounded by her private security detail.

Liora’s fear of Seraphina was obvious the second she spotted her, and she stumbled backward,

ready to run away.

Seraphina grabbed her wrist before she could flee, her grip unyielding.

“Where’s all that bold mocking energy you had a minute ago when you badmouthed my daughter?”

“I came here personally to hand you an official demand letter from our legal counsel.”

She dropped the thick legal document onto the classroom floor hard.

Seraphina raised her voice so every student and teacher present heard every word clearly.

“Every luxury item Kian bought for you was purchased with money stolen straight from Elowen’s monthly stipend.”

My daughter was wired one hundred thousand dollars each month, only to be left with thirty bucks after they drained the rest to spoil you two.

“I intend to collect every stolen dollar back in full.”

Liora’s flawless pale complexion turned ashen gray, her legs buckling beneath her until she crumpled onto the floor in front of everyone.

A flood of shocked chatter erupted all around us.

“Wait-she stole Elowen’s allowance to buy that fancy mansion?”

“All those designer gifts she bragged about were funded with stolen cash?”

Jasper happened to walk past the classroom door mid-commotion and rushed inside immediately, throwing his body in front of Liora to shield her from Seraphina.

His eyes blazed with hostility as he faced our mother.

“We’ll pay back every cent owed to Elowen, I promise you that. Liora’s my sister-I won’t let anyone mistreat her.”

Seraphina’s gaze turned completely cold, hollow with overwhelming disappointment.

“You’re willing to cut all ties with your own blood family just to defend this girl?”

Jasper nodded without a single shred of hesitation, his expression softening instantly as he gazed

at Liora with tender fondness.

“Even if we share only a father, she’s far kinder and worth loving than Elowen’s ever been.”

Seraphina lost every last ounce of hope for him right then, signaling security to bring over a voluntary kinship termination affidavit.

Jasper grabbed the pen without delay, ready to sign his name without a second thought.

He’d just finished the final stroke of his signature when a third-party paternity lab report was held up directly in front of his face.

Jasper blinked in total confusion.

“Whose test results are these?”

Seraphina smiled with hidden meaning.

They belong to Liora.
