My Husband Locked Me Out of Our Home for Another Woman Chapter 07

My Husband Locked Me Out of Our Home for Another Woman Chapter 07

I was checking the furniture at the storage unit when Sienna blocked the entrance.

She wore a white sweater, and the hospital wristband was still clasped around her wrist.

When she saw me, her eyes turned red as she whimpered, “Elena, I want to explain.”

I said to the movers, “Keep going.”

She stepped forward.

“I really didn’t mean to ruin things between you two.”

I pulled a list from my folder and cut her off. “Thirty-two items.”

She froze.

“What?”

“The things you left in the master bedroom.”

I handed her the paper.

“Two nightgowns. Three towels. Six bottles of skincare. Four pill organizers. Earplugs. A spare toothbrush. Essential oils. A sleep machine. Slippers. Art books. A shawl.”

The color drained from her face.

“Nolan prepared all of that.”

“Then you should talk to him, not me.”

She bit her lip.

“Do you think I’m faking my illness?”

I capped my pen.

“I’m not commenting on your medical records. But my master bedroom was not a hospital room.”

The warehouse staff looked over.

Sienna’s voice trembled.

“I was just scared. Nolan was the only person who could make me feel safe.”

I asked her, “You were scared, so you took my bed?”

She shook her head.

“I didn’t take it.”

“You slept in it.”

Tears fell from her eyes.

Elena, don’t be so cruel. Two years ago, I took a bullet for Nolan at a high-stakes corporate dinner. The online fallout was so brutal it put me in the hospital. He owes me.”

I opened my phone and pulled up screenshots of Nolan’s transfers to her for medical bills and care expenses.

“If he owes you, let him pay you back. Don’t use my future marital home as collateral.”

She stared at the screenshots.

“You investigated me?”

“His outgoing transfers showed up in the records. You were never a secret.

Her expression turned ugly.

“If you say everything this harshly, Nolan will be hurt.”

I pressed the list into her hand.

“If he’s hurt, he can see a doctor.”

She tightened her grip on the paper.

“You’re really heartless.”

“You didn’t think you were so fragile when you moved into someone else’s master bedroom.”

She lifted a hand and wiped her tears.

“I have nowhere to go now.”

I looked toward the entrance of the storage facility.

“You have a home, a hospital, and Nolan. Don’t put yourself ahead of me.

She stood there without moving.

I called over security.

“There’s a non-customer interfering with the move.”

Sienna lifted her head.

“You’re calling security to kick me out?”

“You understood me.”

The guard walked over.

“Ma’am, please leave.”

She took two steps back.

Before she left, she looked at me and said, “Nolan won’t really let you go.”

I lowered my head and checked the furniture numbers.

“I’m not planning to catch him.”

That night, Nolan messaged me.

Nolan: [Sienna went to see you? I’m sorry. I’ve already sent her back to her own place.]

I replied: [Don’t be late on the possession date.]

He sent a long paragraph.

Nolan: [I only realized today that she had left so many things in our home. I didn’t notice before. I was such

an idiot.]

I did not reply.

Claire asked me, “Did she come play the patient card?”

I replied: [Performance over.]

Claire sent back a voice message, laughing.

“You were magnificently ruthless this time.”

I signed the storage receipt.

The furniture that belonged to me went into storage.

The things that belonged to him stayed in the old condo.

They had finally cleared out my master bedroom.

I had no intention of clearing space for them in my life again.
