Alphas’ Biggest Mistake Chapter 06

The photos were taken by him, yes. But only because he promised Kieran he’d help get back at her.

He never meant to push her away.

But now Kieran’s face had gone pale with fury.

He lunged forward and grabbed Merrick by the collar.

“You said the photos were dealt with. Were you the one who leaked them?”

Merrick quickly shook his head.

“She’s my girlfriend! Why the hell would I do that? I was just trying to scare her, that’s all. Someone else must’ve seen them and shared them. I deleted everything right after that and told everyone to shut their

mouths.”

Lope slipped in between them, gently tugging Merrick’s sleeve.

“Merrick, do you think she’s just mad because I broke that bracelet of hers? Maybe she’s just upset and trying to get back at you.”

Her voice cracked like she was about to cry. “It’s my fault. I never should’ve worn it.”

Kieran chuckled darkly.

“She grew up here. No way she’d leave like that. She’s obviously trying to get a rise out of us.

“I’m heading home. I’ll check something.”

Without another word, he turned and walked out.

Merrick hesitated, then followed. “Lope, the doctor said you’re fine. Take care of yourself. We’re going to

find her.”

And just like that, Lope was left alone in the hospital room.

She screamed in frustration, sweeping everything off the bedside table in a tage.

“Why?! I’m the one who’s known them since we were kids! Why do they care about her? That bitch doesn’t get to come back… ever.”

Meanwhile, Kieran slammed the gas pedal as he sped home

All he could think about was that bracelet. It had belonged to Fenrisa’s grandmother Maybe that was why she was so upset.

Fine. He’d have someone remake it, exactly the same. That would fix things.

Sure, he’d been harsh, but Fenrisa never stayed mad at him for long: She wouldn’t this time either.

Merrick, on the other hand, was filled with unease

He already felt guilty about the photo incident. Now he was kicking himself for not speaking up at the

restaurant earlier.

What the hell was wrong with him?

He kept calling her as they drove, but her phone remained off.

When the two of them rushed into her room, they found it empty. The bed was a mess. A half–packed

suitcase sat nearby.

They exchanged a glance, and both exhaled in relief.

“She hasn’t left yet. Her stuff’s still here. We need to send people out. Fast.”

“I really thought she was gone…”

Then Merrick’s phone rang.

“Alpha, I found what you asked for, the photo leak. I sent it over, but there’s something else…”

Merrick didn’t even listen. He hung up and opened the recording file the guy had sent.

And what came out of the speaker was Lope’s voice, and the voice of one of her little cronies.

“Did you take care of everything I asked? I’m coming home soon, and I will not let anyone replace me in Merrick and Kieran’s hearts. I want her reputation destroyed.”

“You got it. I leaked all her photos and gave out her number. People already hated that she–wolf. Why else would Merrick film his own girlfriend naked?”

“They even got some thugs to rough her up.‘

Lope’s laugh rang out.

“Clean it all up. Don’t let them find out.”

“Sure. It’s not like I hired them. They did it. I just lit the match. You remember our deal, right, Ms. Omelas?”

Kieran’s gut had already been in knots. But when he heard those words, he couldn’t hold it in anymore.

He turned to Merrick, yelling, “What the hell is going on?!”
