The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 08

The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 08 A New Beginning

“I thought the King’s territory was so vast and his security so tight that no one would ever dare fake the princess’s identity,” the guard captain stammered. “So the moment you spoke, I believed you!”

“If you weren’t the princess, why didn’t she say so? You’ve made me make an irreparable mistake!”

I stared at him coldly. “I told you I was the princess too. Why didn’t you believe me? Why did you help them torture me instead?”

The captain tried to clear his name. “No, it’s not like that! It’s because Beta Soren told me the princess was being treated on the fifth floor. When I walked in, I happened to see the injured Ayla, and she swore upand down she was the King’s daughter. I had no choice but to believe her!”

He lowered his voice slightly.

“Besides, she was covered in expensive designer brands. She looked rich, so I didn’t doubt her for a second…”

“But you… the clothes you wore didn’t have any visible logos. They looked like cheap market clothes, so I just assumed you were a fraud…”

A mocking laugh escaped my lips. I had dressed down to hide my true status from Damian, but those clothes weren’t cheap at all.

Real luxury clothing is custom-made and doesn’t carry tacky commercial tags or logos.

The idiot didn’t know the first thing about real wealth.

My father sighed, a touch of guilt in his eyes. “We were too cautious with your safety, which left some wolves ignorant of what you look like.”

He turned a lethal glare toward the prisoners. “But every single person who laid a hand on you will pay for this.”

Panicking, Damian reached through the iron bars, trying to grab my arm.

“Alicia, talk to your father! Aren’t I your boyfriend?”

“We’ve been together for three years. You love me! And the King decided to form a marriage alliance with the Silver Moon Pack. Tell him this is all just a big misunderstanding!”

I sneered, coldly brushing his hand away.

“Who ever told you the royal alliance partner had to be you?”

“My partner has been changed to Ethan.”

“Just you wait. I will give the Silver Moon Pack a proper lesson, but I will make sure Ethan is fully protected. In the future, the Alpha position of the Silver Moon Pack will belong to him. As for you, you’re on your

own.”

Damian’s eyes went wide with pure disbelief.

The next second, my father’s enforcers marched in and dragged them all away.

I had no desire to watch their grim punishment play out, so I turned around and went downstairs to enjoy my afternoon tea.

By the time my tea was finished, they had been broken and stripped of all their previous arrogance.

Damian’s arm hung slack, Ella’s legs snapped clean through, and the guard captain’s head was crushed open

Barely holding onto consciousness, they began weeping and begging for mercy the moment I walked back in.

I blew on my tea, unfazed by their pathetic state. “Father, lock them in the water dungeon, but keep them alive. I don’t want them stain your hands.”

My father chuckled, giving a vague answer. “This is far from over, but you don’t need to worry about the rest. Just focus on recovering. In six months, I will host your grand Lunar Vow Rite.”

A few months passed. With the help of the pack priest, my body recovered from the effects of the silver poison, and my injured legs healed.

Soon, I was able to walk normally again.

Ethan gladly accepted to become lifelong mates, and our ceremony preparations were quickly underway.

Spending time with him made me realize just how different he was from Damian.

In my past life, I had fallen for Damian’s face and outgoing personality at first sight. Once I chose him, I never bothered to look elsewhere.

But in this life, knowing Ethan showed me what true maturity, thoughtfulness, and kindness looked like. He was far better suited for me than Damian ever was.

We held a spectacular Lunar Vow Rite at the central Lunar Temple,

Every prominent werewolf pack in the kingdom arrived to offer their congratulations. Under the soft moonlight and roaring applause, Ethan and I held hands tightly. A sudden realization crossed my mind.

I leaned in and whispered softly, “That day… how did you know where I was to come save me?”

Ethan went still, a trace of deep, silent sorrow flickering in his eyes.

I understood his expression. I quietly dropped the topic, choosing not to press his painful memories.

Instead, I stood on my tiptoes and pressed a gentle kiss against his lips.

“I understand. I promise to live a long, full life this time. I won’t ever make you worry again.”

“We will stay together forever under the Moon Goddess’s blessing.”

A broad smile spread across his face, and he nodded firmly.
