Everyone Wanted Me Dead After Watching One Video Chapter 06

Three months later, I heard news about my mother. She had fallen down the stairs and miscarried.

She was still my mother. So I went.

My sisters got there first. Chloe Harrison was already by the bed, her eyes red-rimmed. Mom lay

still, her gaze empty, fixed on nothing.

“Oh, Mom,” Chloe whispered, her voice trembling. “How could you let this happen?”

My other sister, Sophia Harrison, didn’t speak, but her eyes were also filled with concern.

I didn’t know what to say, so I just stood quietly to the side.

Mom remained in a daze for a while before finally snapping back. The moment she saw me, her

vacant eyes sharpened into a cold, vicious glare. She pointed at the door. “Get out.”

I didn’t move.

She grabbed a vase from the nightstand and hurled it at me, screaming at the top of her lungs. “What are you doing here? Get out! I said get out! I’d rather you died out there than come back!”

She was screaming so hard she started crying.

Just then, my father returned. He looked disheveled, his overcoat buttoned wrong. But there was no

concern in his eyes when he looked at my mother, only fury.

He shooed the three of us sisters out of the room. But I hid by the door and peeked inside.

He crossed the room in three strides and slapped her hard. The sound cracked through the quiet

room.

“You stupid, careless bitch!” he roared, his face twisting. “That was my child! How could you be so

goddamn useless?” My mother covered her reddened cheek, glaring at him with pure hatred. It was the first time I’d ever seen her look at him that way. In my memory, they had been a loving couple.

Her attitude was like adding fuel to the fire. My father’s face flushed with rage. “Christine! Did I or did I not tell you to protect that baby?! I’ve been too soft on you, and you’ve forgotten your place!”

Facing his towering anger, my mother just sneered.

Her lack of remorse made him even more furious. He took two steps forward and grabbed her by the throat. “Bitch! Since you lost the baby, you can either go die with it, or get pregnant again for me!”

He wasn’t using his full strength, just trying to make her submit. He really wanted that daughter.

But my mother didn’t yield. She spat in his face. The saliva was tinged with blood.

Her eyes bulged as she gritted her teeth. “Dream on, Robert! That baby is better off dead! She

deserved to die!”

The curse she put on that unborn child was exactly the same as the ones she’d hurled at me. A heavy weight settled in my chest.

My father slapped her again, hard, sending her sprawling to the floor. He wiped the spit off his face with a tissue in disgust, then, still seething, kicked her in the stomach. “You’re begging for it, you bitch!” Clutching her stomach, my mother laughed coldly. “And what are you? Some saint? You’re nothing but a beast who preys on his own daughters!!”
