My Dead Hunter Husband Is the Supreme Alpha Chapter 07

My Dead Hunter Husband Is the Supreme Alpha Chapter 07

He couldn’t hold it together. He staggered back a step, his lips quivering, speecddess

“How how did you know?”

Hooked him straight in the eye, my voice dropping low.

“You were reborn, weren’t you, Dominic?”

I’d once had a dream.

It was the night Sebastian brought me to the Sanctuary, the night I reunited with Domi.

In the dream, it was my sister Seraphina who’d saved Domi.

He hadn’t seen her face clearly.

He searched and found me, picking berries in the northern forest.

By then, Seraphina was already Sebastian’s Luna, and the Vance family, seeking the Supreme

Alpha’s protection, had me take Seraphina’s place.

In the dream, Domi treated me wonderfully-even though the pack objected to me being Luna because I was a half-breed, he defied them and made me his anyway.

No one had ever treated me so well.

Unfortunately, my sister Seraphina had a wretched life.

She and Sebastian fought ceaselessly, and it broke her health.

On her deathbed, she revealed the truth.

Her face twisted with venom as she pointed at me: “It was you! You stole my place as Queen!”

That night, Dominic kept vigil at her wolf-bone shrine all night.

I thought he’d resent me, hate me–but he didn’t. He treated me the same as ever, only quieter.

It wasn’t until the day he died, when the pack healer said it was grief and regret that consumed him,

that I understood: he’d never stopped thinking of Seraphina-the one who’d saved him.

I lived on for many, many years.

Eventually, I met a witch who said she could grant a wish.

I missed Domi so desperately. I thought, if only I had been the one to save him, he’d love me with all

his heart, unburdened by sorrow and regret-we’d live in bliss.

The witch granted my wish.

But before she left, she asked me: “What if, even in this next life, he still doesn’t choose you?”

I shook my head. “How could that be? He loved me so much.”

Even when he’d mistaken his saviour, he never once spoke a harsh word to me.

I never expected that prophecy would come true.

It turned out the next life I craved came at a price.

Dominic truly didn’t want me anymore.

Even though it was me who’d saved him this time.

He was still fixated on the Seraphina he’d wronged in his past life.

He made Seraphina his Luna.

And quietly allowed me to marry Sebastian.

This wasn’t a dream. It was my past life.

But if he could be so ruthless, why did he change his mind later?

Dominic refused to release me.

Over and over, he tried to explain, dignity discarded.

“Elena, I regret it-I regretted it long ago. I shouldn’t have deceived you.”

“I didn’t understand my own heart. I wanted to make amends to Seraphina, and then… only later did I realise she wasn’t what I wanted.”

“When I looked at her, all I saw was you-everything you loved. I gave her things you would have liked, as if you were still by my side.”

I stared back at him, expressionless.

I didn’t understand. In my past life, he’d been such a good man. How could he be so cruel in this one?

One decision from him, and he’d ruined both our lives.

Seeing gentleness fail, he turned to force.

i was confined to the Sanctuary. Seraphina was sent back to our family holdings.

He held my hand, voice soft:

“See? Everything’s set right now-just like the previous life. Can’t we return to how we were?”

“Elena, you were my Luna before, and you’ll be my Luna in this life too.”

Everyone feared his iron rule and dared not speak

Compared to his past life, he’d become a stranger I no longer recognised.

Just when I was at a loss, news came from the border: Sebastian had brought the border legions and was marching to fight Dominic to the death.

Dominic held me close, his chin resting on my crown, a faint smirk on his lips:

“Elena, do you think he can win?”

I said nothing.

But I knew he couldn’t.

He kissed my hair and murmured:

“I’ll give you his wolf-bone as a gift.”

I trembled.

I thought he’d lost his sanity.

As I expected, Sebastian lost.

Dominic was of Supreme Alpha blood, and he’d lived two lifetimes-how could he fall?

Sebastian was captured alive.

Through the clash of steel and the roar of fire, he met my eyes from across the field.

He said, “I always knew I’d lose you one day.”

He paused, pain etched across his face: “I said I’d give everything I had to bring you back. But I still lost. I’m sorry.”

Dominic’s longsword rested against Sebastian’s throat, his smile careless.

Tears blurred my vision in an instant.

The next second, I drew the blade from a Beta’s sheath, placed it against my own throat, and said,

one word at a time:

“Let him go.”
