He Wasn’t That Unconscious Chapter 05

He Wasn’t That Unconscious Chapter 05

“Was it really you taking care of me?”

His voice was cold.

And the look in his eyes made it clear he didn’t believe her.

Sienna froze.

For a split second, guilt flashed across her face.

Felix coughed weakly, then asked again. “Answer me. Was it you?”

I had just stepped forward, but stopped.

My heart started pounding.

If Felix was questioning her, then he remembered something.

Maybe not everything.

But something.

And that meant there was still hope.

At the very least, my twenty million wasn’t gone yet.

Seeing the situation turn, my parents rushed forward together.

“Of course it was, Felix. This is your fiancée, Sienna. The woman you love. Don’t you remember?”

“You just woke up. It’s normal to be confused. Sienna’s been taking care of you these past six months.”

They crowded around his bed, deliberately blocking his view of me.

Penelope gently touched my shoulder before stepping in.
That’s enough. Give him some space. Don’t overwhelm him.”

Only then did Sienna reluctantly back away.

Penelope took Felix’s hand, tears shining in her eyes. “Felix, you’ve made us so proud. The doctors are calling this a miracle. You’re finally back. Everything can go back to normal now.

“Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, I’ll make sure you recover and get your life back.”

Felix was still weak from waking up.

He looked at his mother, emotion flickering across his face, but stayed silent.

Saving his strength.

Around the room, reporters quietly recorded the touching reunion.

Penelope clearly wanted the world to know Felix was awake.

That Floyd Corp had an heir again.

That the company’s future was secure.

And that the stock price had nothing to worry about.

As for me?

I was just some random girl nobody recognized.

I couldn’t even get close to the bed.

Still, I didn’t leave.

Not yet.

I wanted to know if there was still hope.

Off to the side, Sienna looked increasingly restless.

She’d been camping out at the hospital these last few days for one reason only—

To claim the credit the second Felix woke up.

Once the media reported it, the story would become fact.

Then she’d be one step away from becoming Mrs. Floyd.

Now her plan was slipping through her fingers.

And somehow, that became my fault.

She glared at me. “Why are you still here? Still dreaming about marrying into money?

“Look at you. You’re basically bad luck in human form. Get out. Even if I don’t marry Felix, it’ll never be you.”

I clenched my jaw.

For once, I fired back.

“Don’t celebrate yet. You don’t even know if he’ll still marry you.”

My parents looked shocked.

“Ruth Reidy, how dare you talk back? You think you’re too good for this family now?”

“Get outside. We’re going to teach you some respect.”

The three of them lunged at once.

Hands grabbed my arms.

They started dragging me toward the door.

I fought back as hard as I could.

But one against three wasn’t even a contest.

Just as they were about to force me out—

Felix suddenly shoved himself upright.

His eyes locked on us.

“Stop!”
