The Lycan King’s Stolen Luna: Faking Amnesia to Revenge My Alpha Chapter 04

Marcus handed me two pizza boxes.

“Luna, you know what kind of guy the Alpha is. He’s a total simp for you. He used to say he couldn’t even breathe without you.”

“Him catching feelings for someone else? It makes zero sense.”

I pressed my lips together. “Is his memory really gone?”

Marcus nodded quickly. “It’s probably temporary. There’s some swelling in his brain. Once that clears up, he’ll remember everything.”

“But he remembers Chloe,” I sneered. “He even called her Bear.”

“His wires are just crossed. He’s confusing the secretary with you!”

“Did you tell him I’m his mate?”

“I did.” Marcus looked miserable. “But you know his temper. He won’t listen to you, so he definitely didn’t believe me.”

“Plus, he loses his mind whenever anyone mentions your name right now. He’s a patient, Luna. I have to manage his stress levels.”

“Look, you two have been icing each other out lately. Ethan told me a while back that he wished you’d just pamper him for once.”

“I think his subconscious is driving this. He’s craving someone sweet and gentle right now because… well, maybe it’s his way of begging you to chase him.”

I froze.

I thought back to our fights. Every single time, Ethan was always the one to swallow his pride and soothe me.

“Luna, don’t give up. I’m a doctor. I guarantee the Alpha will snap out of it. As for the secretary? She’s just a distraction while he’s brain-damaged. Once he recovers, she’s history. Don’t waste your energy on her.”

Would he really remember?

Looking down at the pizza boxes, the ten-year bond we shared tugged at my inner wolf. My resolve softened.

Guilt still ate at me. The crash happened because of me.

Maybe I should try to save my mate.

One last time, Elena.

This is it.

I spent the entire morning watching tutorials, trying to learn how to cook his favorite meal. By the time I finished, my fingers were covered in painful blisters.

I packed the food into a container and drove to the hospital.

But when I pushed the door open—

My mind went completely blank.

Ethan and Chloe were tangled together on the bed, locked in a breathless, desperate kiss.

Interrupted, they both snapped their heads toward me.

Chloe flushed bright red, scrambling off Ethan and frantically straightening her clothes. “Miss Lane, learn to knock!”

I had knocked.

They were just too busy devouring each other to hear it.

I stared at Chloe’s swollen, bitten lips, then at Ethan’s darkened green eyes, heavy with raw lust.

That look used to belong exclusively to me.

Now, he was burning up the sheets with another woman.

The room reeked of their mingling scents, slick and heavy. It made my stomach violently turn.

Amnesia or not.

I would NEVER accept a ruined man.

“Go feed it to the dogs,” I said, my voice dead.

Right in front of them, I threw the lunchbox I had spent all morning preparing straight into the hallway trash can.

I spun on my heel and marched away. My eyes burned, but I refused to let a single tear fall.

As I hurried down the stairs, I nearly collided with Marcus—and the towering, oppressive figure standing right next to him.

The stranger wore a flawlessly tailored dark suit. Broad shoulders, long legs, radiating an aura of untouchable power and dangerous restraint.

Ryan Bellandi. The Supreme Alpha of the Dark Fang Pack, and the primary investor for Silver Ridge.

“Elena, back at the hospital again?” Marcus smiled warmly. Then, noticing my bloodshot eyes, his brow furrowed. “Did the Alpha upset you again?”

I wiped my face, giving a tired, hollow shrug. I couldn’t bring myself to say what I had just witnessed. “Yeah.”

Marcus noticed my blistered fingers covered in band-aids and my empty hands. “Elena, where’s the food you brought?”

“In the trash. Go look for it if you care so much.”

I brushed past him, completely ignoring Ryan, and walked toward the exit like a ghost.

The hem of my thin sundress fluttered in the breeze, exposing my long, pale legs.

Embarrassed by my attitude, Marcus turned to check the trash can, but noticed his guest hadn’t moved a inch.

“Ryan? What are you looking at?” Marcus followed his line of sight.

“Nothing.”

Ryan’s voice was a low, dark rumble.

His deep blue eyes were locked onto my legs, his gaze hungrily tracing up my slender waist until my stubborn, retreating figure vanished through the doors.

If anyone had bothered to look closely, they would have seen the brutal, consuming hunger swirling in the eyes of the notoriously cold Lycan King.

His little she-wolf was finally giving up on that idiot.
