Bonded to the Wrong Alpha Chapter 07

Bonded to the Wrong Alpha Chapter 07

Kyle’s voice came through the wooden door, muffled.

“Elara, I’m not asking you to open up. Just… please hear me out.”

I stayed silent.

“After the bonding feast, when you left, Serena said she was going to find you. She came back saying she missed you. I was drunk. I stayed outside with her to get some air. Then, I don’t know how it happened…”

“Those times, I admit I didn’t really push her away.”

“But you were always ignoring me… I never meant to hurt you.

When he finished, I pulled the door open and looked at him.

He looked haggard, his eyes wary and cautious.

I said coldly, “Kyle, Serena told me herself that you bonded the very night I introduced you two. Are you going to blame every single time on the alcohol?”

“Elara, I…” His face went pale.

I cut him off.

“I busted my ass for your pack. Every strategy, every hunting plan-I wrote them all at odd hours. And who got the credit? You know the answer.”

He hung his head and said nothing.

I reached out and handed him the braided leather cord.

“It’s too plain. I don’t like it. Serena’s diamond one is much prettier.”

He looked up sharply, shock flooding his eyes.

I met his gaze. “I also know you’ve bonded with her. That morning, you were still plotting against me.”

His lips started to tremble.

“We bonded because she was pregnant. She cried and caused scenes. I had no choice.”

“You’re saying you were forced?”

I let out a soft laugh. “Her parents are dead. Her relatives shun her. What leverage does she have over you? So what exactly forced you?”

He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

“Tell me, what power does a woman like her have to make you buy her a custom ten-carat diamond bracele

“Elara, I can explain,” he stammered.

“Go ahead.” I leaned against the doorframe, a faint smirk on my lips.

He choked. It took him a few seconds to force out the words: “My heart has always been yours. Between her

and me, it was just…”

A chill ran through me instantly. “Serena’s child. What’s its name?”

His face twisted. “Kyle. You’ve said plenty.”

I stared at him. “Did you notice? You haven’t said ‘I was wrong’ even once.”

He went rigid.

“Every word out of your mouth blames me. Blames me for being too busy. Blames me for introducing you to Serena.”

“You cheated because I was busy. You stayed with her because she was pregnant.

“Kyle, have you ever done anything wrong in your life?”

He was dumbfounded, his throat bobbing.

I waited five seconds, looking straight into his eyes.

“Kyle, you don’t get to ask me for explanations. You make me sick.”
