I Watched Them Love Her Chapter 11

Before long, Chloe set her sights on Rowan.

She began engineering ways to run into him.

She offered to help him carry his books, brought him coffee, asked him for help with homework, and even pretended to trip as she walked past him in the hall, stumbling right into his arms.

Slowly, Rowan’s attitude toward her began to change.

He started initiating conversations with her.

He would explain her homework questions in painstaking detail.

After school, he would wait for her so they could walk to the library together.

Stella was so furious she marched right over to my desk.

“Tessa, are you seriously not going to do anything? That fake-innocent act of hers is working. She’s going to steal Rowan right out from under you.”

I was in the middle of a physics problem and didn’t even look up.

“What am I supposed to do?”

Stella practically choked on her frustration.

“Aren’t you afraid he’ll actually get with Chloe?”

“Then let him.”

I put down my pen and looked at her.

“If a guy can be stolen that easily, he was never mine to begin with.”

Stella’s mouth fell open.

I picked up my pen again.

“Besides, midterms are next week. Have you started reviewing?”

“Is now really the time to be talking about that?”
