Betrayed On My Wedding Eve Chapter 24

I woke up the next morning with swollen eyes and my limbs wrapped around him completely.

I remembered everything. I tried to bolt.

He stopped me.

“Where are you going?”

I pulled a blanket over my head and made sounds.

He pulled it back off, laughing.

“Embarrassed? What’s there to be embarrassed about?”

He looked at me.

“From now on. When you want to cry, cry. When you want to laugh, laugh. Anyone who tries to stop you, I’ll handle.”

I shook my head hard.

He raised an eyebrow.

“You didn’t get that.”

I blinked.

“Lena. I’m telling you I like you.”

“What?”

He was grinning at me.

“Will you be my person? For good?”

My heart hit the ceiling.

He got up and opened the curtains.

Sunlight came flooding in, clearing everything out.

He stood in it and held out his hand.

“Oh, and I meant to say. Your mom is amazing. When we get back, let’s go visit her together.”

My head spun.

Confesses to me, and immediately wants to meet family?

But the warmth of his hand.

I couldn’t say no. Couldn’t speak properly at all.

“Okay.”

He pulled me up and held me.

And in that moment I sent up a wish to whatever was listening.

I wanted this to last. Just a little longer. Longer than that.

Even if it was only a dream.

I didn’t want to wake up.
