When He Said I Was The Replacement, I Said Finally Chapter 03

When He Said I Was The Replacement, I Said Finally Chapter 03

After laughing enough, I went to the bathroom to remove my makeup, revealing my plain face that looked quite different from my made-up look.

Yves thought I loved him deeply, which was why I was obedient to him, caring and considerate, sensible, tolerant, and never threw tantrums.

But what he didn’t know was that he was actually just my client.

A year ago, I took an order from his mother. She said her son Yves had been completely devastated after breaking up with his ex-girlfriend, smoking and drinking heavily every day to the point that he was hospitalized several times for gastric bleeding.

As a mother, she couldn’t bear to see her son suffer, so she wanted me to help her son get over his emotional heartbreak by starting a new relationship with him.

But at that time, Yves only had his ex-girlfriend in his heart. No matter how good-looking or qualified other women were, none of them caught his eye.

I was a makeup artist, and I ran my own social media account for makeup imitation content. That was how Yves’ mother found me.

She showed me a photo of Yves’ ex-girlfriend and asked if I could recreate a similar look on my face.

That wasn’t hard for me. After doing the makeup, I looked 70 to 80 percent similar to that girl.

Yves’ mother was very satisfied and proposed a deal. I would approach her son with this made-up similar face. If I could become his girlfriend and pull him out of the past to start a new life, she would pay me a generous sum of money.

The amount was dozens of times my current annual income. Only a fool would turn it down.

So I immediately signed the contract with her, and deactivated my original account to keep Yves from finding out the truth.

As long as I had a face similar to that girl’s, getting close to Yves wasn’t difficult at all.

Besides, this was just a business transaction from the start. I had no emotional attachment to Yves, so I had a very high tolerance for everything. That was why Yves could never find any fault with me to break up.

The contract I signed with his mother was a one-year initial term, with an additional clause that said if she wanted to renew after the expiration, I had to extend the contract for another year unconditionally.

To be honest, I really didn’t want to continue. If I kept this up, I couldn’t guarantee that it’d still be just emotional support without anything physical. If Yves wanted to keep dating me, it would be impossible for him to never be intimate with me.

And the most important reason was that the person I loved had come back.

So I was actually glad that Yves broke up with me today. I even got an unexpectedly generous severance payment. This was truly a surprise for me.
