My Friends and My Bully Chapter 07

My Friends and My Bully Chapter 07

*Roman*

I watched the new transfer student, Hazel, walk away with… was that another

transfer student? I didn’t recognize her. Although, I honestly didn’t get a good look at

her because most of my attention was focused on Hazel. Maybe the two girls had

transferred at the same time.

I just invited them to the event that me and the boys were putting together. I hoped

that Hazel would come. She was a strange and strong she–wolf. I really didn’t care if

her friend showed up or not.

Once the two girls were out of hearing distance, the boys started to shove me and

give me crap.

“This Hazel girl isn’t interested in you unless, I bet you,” Caleb said, leaning against

our school’s brick wall. “Unless she comes to our party. Then maybe you have a

shot.”

“I bet you she won’t give you a chance. You can’t even get her to join our training

squad,” Aaron added teasingly.

I just rolled my eyes in response. I wasn’t going to let them have fun on my account.

Maybe Hazel wasn’t interested in me yet, but I’d make her change her mind. She

was obviously beautiful, but just the way she carried herself was attractive to me. I

definitely wanted to get to know her more.

“Well, I for one think that this school needed a pretty little new she–wolf to liven

things up,” my brother, Declan, mused nonchalantly.

Everyone in our group nodded their heads in agreement.

We continued to joke around for another few minutes as we neared the training

field. It was almost time for our training, and by the time we reached the mat, my

father’s voice boomed in the air, distracting me.

“Today we’re having Hazel and Anna demonstrate some other moves to you guys.

After the last time, I think they have a thing or two to pass along the class. Girls,

please demonstrate the latest defensive and offensive moves,” my dad asked in a

firm but cheerful voice.

I nodded at the rest of the guys and pointed to the training field. It looked like my

dad and Luna Sophie were conducting regular training again. I was honestly not in

the mood for it, but there was no way I could skip this class.

My father wouldn’t let me get away with it.

The guys and I walked over to watch. Hazel and this girl Anna were standing a few

feet apart. The rest of the regular training squad formed a circle around them. The

adults had clipboards and stopwatches in their hands to take notes about how

everyone was doing in the training. They would time how fast each of us could

perform the demonstrations. My dad told me that was how they kept track of all of

our progress. Robert caught up with us, walking to where we were all standing.

“Do we know who that girl is? Is she a transfer student too?” I asked no one in

particular, hoping one of the guys had the answer for that.

“That’s my sister,” Robert responded coldly, his eyes focused on the starting match

ahead of us.

Oh! Anna… Yeah, now that he said that, I sort of remember her. She used to be so

quiet and uninvolved that she frequently faded into the background. It made sense I

didn’t recognize her. She looked different.

As Anna and Hazel crouched in offensive positions, the guys and I started to make

bets on who would win.

bets on who would win.

“Hazel is definitely going to wipe the floor with Anna,” I mused. “Sorry, Robert, but

your sister is about to get her ass kicked.”

Robert shrugged, although his jaw was tense and he looked slightly concerned.

“She did a great job the last time though,” Declan retorted. “The girl’s got some

moves.”

“Maybe it was just luck,” Caleb said as he watched the two girls who were about to

fight. “Anna looks so weak. It seems like a big gust of wind could knock her over!”

“Yeah. I guess you’re right,” my brother added.

“If we were betting money, I would put all of mine on Hazel,” Aaron chimed in, not

bothering to lower his voice.

Anna looked over at where we were standing. She could definitely hear what we

were saying. A small part of me felt bad for that. I wouldn’t want these things to be

said about me before I fought someone. Anna turned back to Hazel and crouched

down in an offensive position. She had a determined expression on her face and her

whole body, although her shoulders seemed tense.

Robert stiffened beside me as he stared at his sister, his face full with worry.

“Alright, Anna and Hazel, get ready,” my dad said as the crowd held their breaths.

“One, two, three, go!”

The two girls launched at each other. Hazel was on defensive, and Anna was

offensive first. It was different from the other time they fought. But I still thought

Anna had had beginner’s luck.

“It’s going to take forever for Anna to take Hazel down,” I whispered to my brother.

Turned out I was wrong.

Anna didn’t hesitate. She leaped at Hazel and grabbed her by the shoulders. The

small girl put her leg behind Hazel’s and used that momentum to push the blonde

girl to the ground. I heard Hazel let out a tiny gasp as her back hit the mat. Anna

wasted no time and straddled Hazel, grabbing her arms, further incapacitating her.

I had to admit, it was an amazing thing to watch. Not to mention hot.

Once Hazel was fully defeated, my father yelled ‘time‘ and paused the stopwatch in

his hand.

“Nice job, girls,” my dad said as Anna helped Hazel off the ground since the

demonstration was over. “Anna, great job. You broke my son’s record. You were ten

seconds faster than Roman.” My father looked over at me with a grimace. Maybe he

had heard what I said about Anna.

I hadn’t realized until he pointed out that Anna had beaten me though.

Apparently, Anna was a very good fighter even when she was on defense. She

dogged Hazel’s attacks like a pro. I was in shock that she was a really good fighter.

How much time did she spend training? I never saw her practicing before.

Maybe she did it in private. Who knew?

Once the two girls were done with their demonstration, we joined the crowd,

clapping for them.

“That was a great match!” Declan yelled.

“You’re just saying that because they are hot,” Caleb mused from beside me, staring

at Anna with a glimpse of hunger in his eyes.

“No, I’m saying that because it was impressive and hot,” Declan retorted.

I looked around, noticing that both Caleb and Aaron were looking at Anna with

interest, scanning her body up and down as she distanced herself from the mat.

I turned to Robert, a wide grin forming on my face. “Uh, oh, I think you should be

careful, Robert,” I teased, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Looks like the Alpha sons

want taste you sister.”
