The Senator’s Daughter Is Now the CEO They Need Chapter 36

Julian took advantage of the vulnerability and snuck into the freezer room of the top-tier fertility clinic.

He saw the label marked “Davis” on a liquid nitrogen tank.

He thought if he just destroyed that one embryo, it would all be over.

So he did.

“I thought if I did that, there wouldn’t be a little sister,” Julian sobbed. “I didn’t know the clinic’s records were wrong. They still had one backup embryo… and that was you. After you were born, I knew it wasn’t over. You were a constant reminder of what I had done.”

My stomach churned. I felt sick.

“So that’s why you treated me that way,” I said, the pieces clicking into place. “Because you were afraid that as long as I was alive, your secret was, too.”

Julian didn’t speak. He just wept.

Just then, the door to the room was thrown open.

My father rushed in, his eyes bloodshot, completely out of control.

He lunged at Julian and started hitting him, not caring about his condition.

Catherine rushed in after him, grabbing Julian, hitting and cursing him until her voice was raw.

“It was you! It was you who hurt her!”

“You destroyed your sister!”

“You destroyed this family!”

The room was chaos.

My father turned and looked at me. His lips moved, as if he wanted to say something.

But I didn’t want to hear it.

I turned and walked out.

Behind me, there were only screams, sobs, and the shattered pieces of their lives.

I didn’t look back.
