Alpha Family Put Their Princess on Trial Chapter 05

Alpha Family Put Their Princess on Trial Chapter 05

The screen froze on the image of Tristan, Evelyn, and Callum standing there, staring up at me on the stairs. Their eyes were cold. Dead. Full of hate.

They all hated me together, united against me. That’s what a real family looked like.

And I had actually dared to hope I could be part of them.

What unbelievable audacity. How dare I.

When they saw the truth on the screen, Tristan, Evelyn, and Callum were stunned.

Evelyn recovered first.

She looked at me, awkward and uncomfortable. “Natalia just likes to play around. Don’t take it too seriously. I’ll give her a talking-to when we get home.”

Callum snorted. “Fine, maybe you were innocent this time. But what about everything else?” His voice rose. “You started cliques at school. You isolated Giselle. You hit her. You can’t lie your way out of any of it.”

The Howl Stream was exploding with debate.

“No way. I’m getting bad vibes from this adopted daughter. She’s so young and already this good at framing people.”

“Wait, forget the adopted daughter. Isn’t anyone else disturbed by this Alpha family’s morals? Their real daughter gets wronged, and instead of comforting her, they defend the fake one?”

“Exactly. This is disgusting. How did someone like this ever become Alpha? They’re not fit to manage a pack!”

“No wonder the adopted daughter is so bold and so evil. They raised her that way. If I had a family like this, I wouldn’t even want to live. My heart breaks for Giselle.”

The comments made Tristan’s face darken with fury.

He shot me a vicious glare. “Don’t get cocky. Just because they’re defending you now doesn’t mean you’re innocent. You know exactly what you did to Giselle at school.”

“Your Logic, Arbiter, continue the trial.”

At his request, the screen lit up again.

Inside the packhouse, Natalia walked in, just home from school. Her uniform was torn to shreds and soaked through.

She saw Tristan, Evelyn, and Callum sitting in the living room and curled in on herself, trying to sneak upstairs without being seen.

But Evelyn’s sharp eyes caught her immediately.

“Natalia, what happened to you?”

“Who did this to you? Why is your uniform like that?”

Natalia hugged herself, trembling. “Mother, please don’t be angry. I won’t make Giselle mad anymore. Please don’t blame me.”

“I’ll go to Thornfield Foundling Home right now. I’ll get out of her way. Just please — please make her stop hurting me. Stop tearing my clothes. Stop taking those photos of me. Please”

At that moment, everyone understood exactly what Natalia was implying.

Callum lost his mind.

So when he saw me walk through the front door, he didn’t hesitate for a second. He lunged and kicked me square in the leg.

“You filthy bitch,” he screamed, spitting the words in my face. ”How dare you do that to Natalia? Who the hell do you think you are?”

He grabbed my shoulder and shoved me down. “Get on your knees. Now. Apologize to her.”

I collapsed to the ground, pathetic and broken. I looked up at my family — their faces twisted with rage — and my heart sank into an abyss with no bottom.

I tried to speak.

But Tristan’s slap cut off my words before they could leave my mouth.

“How did I give birth to such a beast?” he growled. “You’ve been back less than a week, and all you’ve learned is how to torment people.”

“Kneel there until Natalia forgives you. Don’t you dare get up.”

Then they all gathered around Natalia, surrounding her with comfort and care.

The screen froze on that image — all of them huddled around her, protecting her, loving her. It was such a warm, beautiful scene.

So this was what it felt like to be the Alpha heiress of Ghostpine Pack.

Too bad that happiness was never mine.

“Wow, I guess Giselle isn’t so innocent after all.”

“Right. She’s a pro at bullying. No wonder her parents and brother don’t like her.”

“I guess every victim has a dark side. I almost felt sorry for her. She’s vicious. Good job, Callum. Haha.”

Tristan, Evelyn, and Callum watched the comments with smug smiles.

Callum turned to The Logicore. “Your Logic, Arbiter, can you find her guilty now?”

Everyone held their breath, waiting for the answer they were so sure would come.

Then The Logicore’s cold, mechanical voice rang out again.

“After a full comparison of the truth, the charge of harassment against the defendant, Giselle, is once again not established.”
