My Husband’s Heir Cost Him His Own Daughter Chapter 27

Savannah started to tremble.

Carter ignored her.

He pressed play.

The video continued, showing his own violent shove.

Then Amelia falling.

Then the horrifying spread of red beneath her white dress.

Carter let that part of the video play on a loop.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The image of the blood seemed to burn itself onto his retinas.

“Savannah!” He whirled on her, his eyes bloodshot, and pointed at the screen where I lay on the ground. “What else do you have to say? Why did you frame her?”

“I didn’t!” Savannah shrieked, making one last, desperate attempt. “She said horrible things first! She cursed my son!”

“Did she?”

Carter pulled out his phone and pressed play.

An audio file filled the room.

The butler had secretly recorded the exchange.

It captured only Savannah’s cruel taunts, one after another:

“…only a daughter. Do you think the Beauchamp family will care?”

After her voice, there was only silence.

From beginning to end, Amelia hadn’t said a word.

Carter’s hand went limp, and the phone crashed to the floor, the screen shattering.

He advanced on Savannah, his voice a low, terrifying growl.

“Tell me. What, exactly, did she say?”
