My Husband’s Heir Cost Him His Own Daughter Chapter 25

“Of course… No, I mean, what are you saying?” Panic flickered across Savannah’s face, quickly replaced by a look of wounded grievance. “You’re doubting me? You think I lied to you?”

Carter didn’t answer.

He just smiled, a cold, humorless twisting of his lips, and said to the butler, “Turn on the large screen in the living room.”

The head of security was already waiting with a laptop.

He quickly connected it to the massive wall-mounted screen.

Savannah’s heart hammered against her ribs.

She forced herself to follow Carter into the living room, still trying to salvage the situation.

“Carter, what can a video prove? It was so chaotic. The angle could be off—”

Before she could finish, the screen lit up.

It was an overhead shot from a security camera on the edge of the polo field. The image was crystal clear.

There was Amelia, holding the program, walking toward them.

The video captured everything.

Amelia reaching out her hand, trying to take back what was hers.

Her fingers never getting closer than a foot to Savannah or the child.

She hadn’t even touched Savannah’s clothes.

It was Savannah who, after seeing Amelia reach out, took an exaggerated step back and started screaming.
