Silenced Omega Chapter 10

Silenced Omega Chapter 10

“Genevieve!”

Camden was the first to rush in. The sight of blood on the floor made his face drain of all color.

Preston charged in right behind him, his body radiating fury.

“Genevieve, what happened?”

Genevieve covered her neck and weakly lifted a hand, pointing at Laney on the hospital bed.

“Sis… why… I only wanted to peel an apple for you…”

“Laney.” Camden spun around, his eyes blazing with murderous rage. “What did you do to her?”

His Alpha pheromones crashed over her like a tsunami, and Laney’s Omega gland convulsed violently under the pressure.

Preston rushed over and dragged Laney from the bed.

“You dared to touch her? I’ll make you pay for this ten times over.”

Laney hit the floor hard. The cast on her right leg slammed against the bed frame, the agony turning her vision black.

She tried to explain, but only broken, breathless sounds came out.

The silver had sealed her throat.

“Still faking it?” Preston raised his foot to kick her.

“Enough,” Camden roared. “Get Genevieve to a doctor. Now.”

For three full days.

Laney was locked in the ward without food or water.

She curled up in a corner, watching the light outside the window shift from bright to dark, then dark to bright again.

The cast on her right leg had loosened, the broken bone beneath swollen and purple.

The wound on her lower abdomen was infected, yellow-green pus seeping from the stitches.

The silver brand in her throat felt like a hot coal. Every swallow was like swallowing glass.

But the worst pain came from her Omega gland.

In werewolf society, it was a punishment crueler than death.

An Omega without pheromones was less than a slave.

On the third day, the door was kicked open.

Camden walked in and stood over her.

He had lost weight.

There were heavy, dark circles under his golden-brown eyes, and his Alpha pheromones were as chaotic as a stormy sea.

His suit was wrinkled, his tie askew. Blue stubble shadowed his jaw.

But the way he looked at Laney was still glacial.

“It’s been three days. Have you had time to think?”

Laney’s head throbbed, and her lips were cracked and dry. She looked up at him, her expression blank.

“Genevieve is awake,” Camden continued. “But she’s in severe shock. She screams whenever she sees the color red. The psychiatrist says she has PTSD.”

He crouched down, bringing himself to her level.

“Laney, how could you do that? She’s your sister.”

Laney’s mind was a hazy fog. She said nothing.

“But it doesn’t matter anymore.” Camden stood up. “We’ve extracted the antibodies. You’re of no use to us now.”

“It’s time you took responsibility for what you’ve done.”

He gestured to the door.

A doctor in a white coat walked in, holding a file.

“This is your psychiatric evaluation.” Camden took it and flipped through the pages.

“Severe Omega pheromone disorder accompanied by aggressive tendencies, with serious self-destructive behavior and violent inclinations. Immediate transfer to a professional Omega care facility for isolation and treatment is recommended.”
