One Hundred Rules to Tame My Impossible Billionaire Boss Chapter 05

One Hundred Rules to Tame My Impossible Billionaire Boss Chapter 05

After he added me back last night, Miles made a reservation at a five-star restaurant and said he’d introduce me to his friends soon.

Bullet comments flooded in, [Lmao he actually followed the rules. Showed up fifteen minutes early for their date.]

[Uh, the date’s about to start. Why’s she not wearing any makeup?]

[So hypocritical. She made him promise to be flawless, and she shows up like this.]

[Well, he did chase her on a bet. He can deal with it.]

I showed up right on time under the dorm, found Miles with dark circles under his eyes.

He stared at me, visibly annoyed. “You’re dressing like this for our first date? You don’t care at all!”

Seriously, shouldn’t she have put in some effort?

I said calmly, “Rule twenty-three.”

He answered confidently, “Every detail of food, clothes, outings follows the girlfriend’s preference.”

“Relax. A thousand words? I memorized them in one night.”

“I got it right, didn’t I?”

I nodded, then cut him off, “I don’t like fancy restaurants or that kind of food.”

“Blair likes places like that.”

His smile froze. Guilt flickered in his eyes.

Right then, Blair came down the stairs.

Bullet comments, [She’s definitely still into him. Why else would she be tracking the side character’s every move?]

[She brought her new guy specifically to make him jealous.]

[They’re both poking at each other and acting like they don’t care.]

[Is the side character gonna reject him again? She’s so extra. No wonder when she finally begs him later, he says no. His ego can’t take getting rejected in front of the girl he actually wants.]

I frowned.

Miles saw it and got restless. Like he thought I was about to ice him out again.

And honestly, the bullet comments were right. He was at his limit.

I let my eyes trace over his sharp features. After a few seconds, I felt a little more patient with him.

Blair said hi to both of us, but her eyes stayed on Miles. “Hey, picking up your girl?”

She knew Miles and I weren’t really together. He’d just lied to his boys to save face.

I wasn’t going to call him out.

Instead, I stood on my toes and kissed his cheek.

He’d picked out cologne before leaving. Woodsy. I actually liked it.

I softened my voice. “I’m not crazy about the restaurant, but the cologne you chose today smells really good.”

Then I fixed his tie. “I like it.”

The tips of his ears went pink.

He reached for my hand proudly, throwing Blair a triumphant look. “What a coincidence. Right when I come to pick up my girlfriend, you show up. So annoying.”

Miles always had a sharp tongue and loved saying the opposite of what he meant.

The bullet comments said he’d keep fighting with Blair like a kid and end up getting played.

I smacked his hand away. “Why are you grabbing me? I meant give me your phone.”

Rule, boyfriend’s phone is for me to check anytime.

Bullet comments, [He spent all night clearing his group chats.]

[She won’t find anything.]

Sure enough, Miles didn’t hesitate. He handed over his phone like it was nothing.

Even smirked a little. “Look all you want.”

Blair stared in disbelief.

Since when did Miles Thornton let anyone check his phone?
