The Princess Who Left the Alpha Family Chapter 08

She climbed onto the sill.

But no one screamed. No one begged.

She glanced back.

Every face was stone. Even Kellan’s.

Calyra wailed. “Fine! Watch me.”

She made a show of it. Leaning. Wobbling.

Her feet stayed planted.

Then she slid down. Staggered. Dropped dramatically.

“I’m so dizzy.”

Lucien stared. “Get up. We’re done with the act.”

She didn’t move.

A Beta walked in. Folder in hand.

“Alpha. The investigation is complete. Full report on Miss Calyra.”

Lucien read. Red crawled up his neck. His face. His ears.

“Calyra! It was all a lie. Every last word. You were never sick. Never poor. Your real family? Loaded. Just like us.”

They gave you everything. Adored you. And you threw it away. For a rogue. They said no. So you crashed their car. Wiped

them out. Bankrupted your own blood.”

“You invented that tragic little backstory to make us feel guilty. And Veyra? She never laid a finger on you. You set her

Every. Single. Time.”
“And Kellan’s crash. It wasn’t you. It was Veyra who pulled him out. Veyra saved his life.”

Kellan’s veins bulged. “You lying bitch. You played me. This whole time.”

He grabbed her by the collar. Hauled her up. Smacked her. Twice.

She howled.

“You can’t do this. I’m your mate. You swore you’d love me forever.”

“I loved the girl who dragged me out of that burning car. That girl wasn’t you. It was Veyra.

Dad’s teeth ground together. “You are no daughter of the Nightwind Pack. You don’t deserve the name

Lucien’s voice was cold. I have no sister named Calyra.”

Mom sobbed “You killed her. You killed my baby girl.”

“Give her back. Give me back my Veyra.”

Calyra dropped the act. Her face twisted.

“You’re all Insane. Choosing a stranger over your own blood.”

1 am your daughter. Your sister. Your mate.”

Dad roared. “You’re nothing. From this moment, you’re dead to the Nightwind Pack.”

Calyra grabbed for him. “Daddy, please!”

He threw her off, “Kellan. She’s yours. Do what you want.”

Kellan’s hand closed around her arm. “Every ounce of pain she caused Veyra? I’m paying back. With interest.”

He shipped Calyra overseas. Locked her in a basement.

Every day, his men broke her legs..

Then a healer fixed them.

Then they broke them again.

Over. And over. And over.
