I DRUGGED the Ruthless Billionaire for One Night of Passion Chapter 02

What was I doing?

I propped myself up on my elbows and looked at him blankly. “Guess.”

His face darkened instantly. I knelt on the bed beside him. “Now that you’re awake, let’s get to what I came here for.”

Ethan’s brows were furrowed in a deep scowl as he strained against the ties holding him down. Panic flared inside me. If he broke free, everything I’d done would be for nothing. I closed my eyes and threw myself on top of him.

“Don’t move. Just listen to me.”

He ground his teeth in anger. “Have you lost your mind?”

I lifted my head. Our faces were barely four inches apart. “I’m perfectly sane.”

“What exactly do you think you’re doing?”

“I got you into my bed. You can figure out what I’m after.”

His pupils dilated sharply, and disgust flashed across his face. “Zoe! It’s me, Ethan! Have you no dignity at all?”

I didn’t want to hear his accusations. I grabbed a soft object from the nightstand and pressed it into his mouth to muffle him. I met his blazing gaze without flinching. “Shut up.”

He tugged violently at his restraints, but they held fast. My heart hammered wildly in my chest.

“I’m going to kiss you. Don’t stop me.”

I pulled the gag away before he could speak, then pressed my lips hard against his, eyes squeezed shut. I fumbled with the buttons of his dress shirt, popping the buttons off one by one until they clattered onto the floor. I clung to him like a person running for dear life, unable to stop, desperate to release every emotion I’d bottled up for years. All the while, low groans escaped his throat.

My best friend, Lena, once told me that men act purely on physical desire in moments like this. She’d been right. Even as I pressed forward relentlessly, Ethan stopped shouting and only let out ragged sounds.

When it was over, his face was flushed bright red, as if he’d endured unbearable humiliation. I turned away, pulled my clothes back on, and headed for the bathroom.

“Zoe.”

I paused and looked over my shoulder. “What?”

His eyes were bloodshot with rage. “Untie me. If you dare.”

I stared at him for a moment, then smiled faintly. “I’ll let you go eventually. Just not yet.”

After my shower, I’d planned to head back to my own bedroom, but the memory of his toned, muscular torso lingered in my mind. I turned around and walked back to the guest room.

Ethan was still awake, staring hard at the ceiling, stiff as a board. When he saw me walk in, he spat out through gritted teeth, “Untie me right now!”

I shook my head. “No.”

“Do you have any shame at all? What do you even get out of this? Didn’t your mother teach you any shame?”

His words hit me right where it hurts. He did it on purpose. I said nothing, just walked slowly toward the bed, kicked off my slippers, and straddled his hips. He opened his mouth to snap at me again, but I covered his mouth with my hand.

“Quiet. Listen to me.”

“I’ve known you for eleven years, and loved you for ten. I’ve tried to let go, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I know you’ve never felt the same way about me. People always say the one who loves harder makes the first move—and so I’m making it now. I’m going to have you, and nothing you do will stop me.”

Tears stung my eyes as I leaned down to kiss him. His lips were thin and cool, tasting faintly of mint. I was exhausted, yet I could feel his body reacting to me all the same. I pulled back and smirked at him. “Quit the cold, untouchable CEO act. I can see right through you.”

His soft, breathless noises throughout the rest of the night left me flustered, yet utterly content.

When I woke again, Ethan was already awake. The look of utter humiliation was gone from his features. His voice was hoarse as he spoke.

“Untie me.”

“I can’t.”

He let out a weary sigh and tried a different approach. “Zoe, what’s wrong with you? How long are you gonna keep me tied down?”

I held up seven fingers. “Seven days.”

He was lost for words. “Why on earth would you do this?”

“No reason in particular.” I slipped on a bathrobe and climbed out of bed calmly. “I’m sticking right here with you for seven whole days.”

I expected him to fly into another fit of anger, but instead he let out a dry laugh. “This is illegal detention. You know how much work I’ve got piled up, and how many people are looking all over for me. Do you honestly think you can keep me trapped here for a whole week?”

My feet froze where I stood. He was right. He was strong, and if he truly fought back, I could never hold him captive.

“Untie me. I promise I won’t leave.”

I hesitated, then shook my head firmly. “I don’t trust you.”

“Just let me go. You can stay with me—I have important work to do.”

He clearly thought this compromise would win me over, but I refused without a second thought. “You’re staying right here till the cops come knocking.”

Ethan realized reasoning was useless. He studied me from head to toe with a sharp gaze, then finally relented.

“If you keep me tied up for seven days straight, my limbs will go numb and stiff. Is that really what you want?”

“Of course not.” My voice softened. “But I have no other choice. I’m not strong enough to stop you if you run. I’m sorry to put you through this.”

“I swear on my grandmother Eleanor Blake’s life,” he said solemnly, “I will not leave this house for seven days.”

Eleanor Blake. I knew how much she meant to him — and how much she’d cared for me, too. We huddled up in a corner and cried our hearts out when she passed away. That was the only time I’d ever seen Ethan shed tears.

“I’ll cooperate with you,” he continued earnestly. “Otherwise, my staff will have this house broken into before noon today.”

I knew he was telling the truth. The CEO of Blake Global Trading Group going missing was huge news. I wanted to keep him close, but I refused to die with a terrible reputation, torn apart by tabloids and gossip.

I gave in. I tossed his clothes over to him and loosened the ties around his wrists and ankles one by one. He flexed his stiff hands and wrists, his tone sharp and unforgiving. “I never knew you had this crazy side to you.”

I didn’t flinch. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me.”

His eyes fell on the messy pile of ties scattered across the floor, and he looked at me in disbelief. “Where did you get all of these?”

“I’ve been buying them for years. I thought they’d look good on you. Never thought this is how they’d be used.”

“Why didn’t you ever give these to me?”

I let out a bitter laugh. “I’ve never been the type to chase after someone who doesn’t care about me.”

His expression turned cold. “So you just decided to force me into this?”

Heat rushed to my face, all the way down to my toes. When I’d acted on impulse, I hadn’t cared about the consequences, but now that I was calm, embarrassment washed over me. I’d resorted to tying a man down just to get close to him. Still, I quickly pushed the shame aside. I told myself I had no regrets. After everything, my life felt complete.
