I DRUGGED the Ruthless Billionaire for One Night of Passion Chapter 01

I’d had a crush on Ethan Blake for ten years, too scared to confess. That all changed when I was diagnosed with late-stage brain cancer.

I tied him down and had him over and over again.

His eyes burned red with rage as he struggled violently. “Zoe Hunter! Let me go if you dare!”

I thought once I let him go, he would fly into a fury and lash out at me. But instead, he claimed me fiercely, relentlessly, day and night. “Zoe. Do I really look that powerless? You actually drugged me?”

I’d loved Ethan for a full decade.

It started when we were teenagers and carried on into adulthood. He lived in the villa right next to mine in Maple Creek Estate. I watched him grow from a fresh-faced boy into a mature, striking man. I was utterly captivated by his allure, yet I never dared say a word. I was afraid that if he turned me down, everything between us would fall apart.

Ten days ago, I collapsed at work and was rushed to the hospital. The doctor looked at me with pity. “It’s late-stage brain cancer. I’m sorry, but there’s nothing more we can do.”

I wasn’t ready to die. I’d never gone on a cross-country road trip, and I’d never been with Ethan.

Thoughts of the dark obsessive romance novels I’d been reading lately drifted into my mind. I was dying anyway—what harm could one selfish act do?

I called Ethan and invited him over for dinner. As the head of Blake Global Trading Group, he was always swamped with work, but he agreed to come by later.

He arrived looking worn out, his black overcoat still carrying the chill of the road. I realized he’d been away on business in Windsor Port City when I called. He’d flown all day and walked straight into my trap.

A twinge of guilt tugged at my heart, and I almost made up an excuse to send him away. But he walked straight to the dining table and sat down, and made himself at home with the meal.

I watched as he drank the coconut green curry soup I’d spiked with sedatives. He glanced up at me and raised an eyebrow. “Your cooking has improved a lot lately.”

Of course it had. The meal was takeout from the most popular Thai restaurant in the city. I hadn’t cooked it myself—I’d been terrified my terrible cooking would make him eat too little for the drug to work.

I stepped into the kitchen to grab an extra bowl, and when I returned, his eyes were already glazed over. I bit my lip. “You look exhausted. Do you want to rest for a while?”

He nodded drowsily. “My head was spinning.”

“Come on, then.”

We’d known each other for years and never kept secrets from one another. He followed me obediently to the guest bedroom and soon drifted off to sleep.

I struggled to pull off his coat, then stopped, staring at his body through his white dress shirt. My heart raced. My throat went dry. But I still couldn’t bring myself to undress him completely.

I opened the closet and pulled out the pile of ties I’d collected over the years—gifts I’d always wanted to give him but never had the courage to. Today, they finally served their purpose. I used them to bind his wrists and ankles firmly to the bed frame.

Exhausted from the effort, I slumped down onto the edge of the bed. I stared at his peaceful sleeping face. I knew he would fly into a furious rage the second he woke up, just like the time his mother, Martha Blake, had suggested we get married.

I couldn’t look away. I knew I wouldn’t have many more chances to see him, so I drank in every detail of his features. For over twenty years, I’d lived as a kind, selfless person. With my time running out, I chose to be selfish for once. Let him hate me. If he did, he wouldn’t grieve when I was gone.

His phone kept ringing inside his coat pocket. It was Riley, his personal assistant. Afraid of waking Ethan, I answered quickly. “Ethan’s worn out. He fell asleep right after dinner.”

Riley took the hint and hung up right away.

My own eyelids grew heavy. I climbed onto the bed, wrapped my arms around his waist, and fell fast asleep.

I was jolted awake in the middle of the night by Ethan’s furious shout.

“Zoe!”

I sat up abruptly. The sudden movement made my head throb and my vision blur, and I collapsed back against his chest.

“Zoe Hunter! What the hell are you doing?”
