Divorced & Dying The Mafia Boss Regrets Everything Chapter 14

There was a commotion behind him, shouts of “Chairman” mixed in.

Dominic didn’t turn around. A cane whistled through the air and struck the back of his neck before he could

react. He took the blow, but before the second swing could land, he spun around and grabbed the cane,

holding it fast. Benjamin’s eyes blazed with fury. “You… you little bastard!”

Dominic took one hit, then stared at him impassively, the dizziness already fading.

At that press conference, the cane had rained down on Grace’s back, and she hadn’t made a sound, not even

when the cane snapped in two.

How much had that hurt? Dominic didn’t dare imagine.

Benjamin put all his aging strength into trying to pull the cane free to strike again, but Dominic stopped him with a hoarse, cold command.

“I used to respect you, give you face, because of Grace. Do you think I don’t know you never gave her any consideration? You’re her only close relative.”

Dominic dropped the formalities. “When I was fighting her hardest, you stabbed her in the back, stripped her of her power, and refused to lift a finger to help her.”

“Even you pushed her around.”

In the end, his voice was barely a whisper.

Dominic was still struggling to grasp reality–from that recording to the stack of critical condition notices, it felt like a dream he couldn’t wake up from.

Sienna wouldn’t give up. She tried everything to win sympathy, sobbing, “Dom, have you forgotten what we had… I… sniff…”

Dominic gave her a cold look, then turned away, and shoved hard on the cane before letting go. Benjamin stumbled back several steps, pointing at him with a trembling finger. “… You’ve lost your mind! You—you! Who do you think you are, lecturing me!?”

Benjamin’s worst side came out. Faced with a tough opponent, he didn’t dare to be too aggressive. His anger toward Dominic subsided, and when he spotted Sienna nearby, he swung the cane in her direction.

“You slut! How dare you lay a hand on anyone from the Santoro family!”

The cane hit Sienna squarely in her swollen belly. She screamed and clutched her stomach.

The white blanket was suddenly soaked in red. Sienna was hemorrhaging heavily.

Benjamin felt quite satisfied. He puffed out his chest and looked around for something else to throw, but

Finnegan stepped in to stop him. “Chairman, please don’t make things worse. Dom can handle it. Just take a

rest.

Benjamin snorted, still muttering that Grace thought she was too good to come home, and that if she ever

showed her face, he’d break her legs.

Only after Finnegan had persuaded him to leave did the room fall silent.

Dominic had stood there for too long. He looked back at Sienna, saw her trembling as she touched her thigh and came away with blood, her eyes lost. “…No, Dom, save me, Dom…”

Dominic ignored her pleas and ordered his men to find Grace at any cost

When Sienna heard that, she lost her mind, ignoring the excruciating pain in her belly.

“What does she have that I don’t!?”

“She’s crude, brainless, can’t even say a simple English sentence–why is everyone taking her side? Because she’s a gang boss? What a joke. I’m a thousand times, ten thousand times better than her. You should have loved me all along… Dominic!!”

These words came from the so called gentle woman who had kept Dominic waiting for eight years.

Dominic laughed at himself. His eyes turned cold, the veins on the back of his hand bulging as he struggled to contain his rage. He looked down at her and murmured, “You think you’re worthy of being compared to

her?”

Sienna was shaking uncontrollably, clutching Dominic’s pant leg and begging desperately. Then, seeing his expression, she turned defiant again. “Aren’t you the one who hates her most? I’m not going to make this easy for you. Now that Grace is dying, you must be happy, right? Let me tell you, she deserves to die!”

“If it weren’t for her, Sienna wouldn’t have taken this long to come back!”

Dominic remained unmoved, chain smoking. “So? Is there a problem?”

“Yes, yes! I was her attending physician. I did it on purpose! I–I deliberately prescribed the wrong medication to speed up the growth of her tumor. I wanted her to die faster!”

“She forced Sienna to hurt herself as a condition for letting her go. Do you have any idea what Sienna went through just to see you…”

“Shut up-

Sienna frantically tried to cover the doctor’s mouth, her eyes betraying her fear.

Dominic let the cigarette burn down. He stood there expressionless for a long time, then spoke very softly. “What did you say…?”

[Die faster.]

Those words echoed in his ears. Dominic stopped breathing, shook his head in disbelief, and a pain tore through his chest so sharp it felt like it would split him in two. “…You’re looking for death!”

“… It was all an act from beginning to end, wasn’t it, Sienna.”

Sienna shook her head in panic, denying everything, but as she reached for his pant leg, he kicked her away.

Henry handed him a surveillance video.

In the video, Sienna was frantically cutting herself, while Grace stood by, watching calmly. Then Dominic burst in and carried Sienna away in his arms.

Looking back now, even though she had clearly been unharmed and the truth was obvious, Dominic had believed Sienna without hesitation.

[Grace, you deserve to go to hell.]

At the end of the video, Grace gave the camera a wry smile–resigned and desolate.

Dominic swayed on his feet.

From beginning to end, Grace had done nothing wrong. He had forced the guilt onto her with his own hands.

Henry looked at the man’s stubbled face. He had been on the road for days, and in that short time, he had visibly wasted away.

The pleas for mercy never stopped, but Henry, accustomed to such scenes, was unmoved. His mind was still

on Grace.

He had always thought the anxiety he kept buried deep inside would never be seen, but when he looked up again, Dominic was staring at him, motionless.

Then Henry heard him ask, in a hoarse voice,

“Henry, you know where she is, don’t you?”
