After Six Miscarriages, I Carried Someone Else’s IVF Baby Chapter 03

After Six Miscarriages, I Carried Someone Else’s IVF Baby Chapter 03

After a long time, I wiped away my tears and forced myself to calm down.

Then I pulled out an unfamiliar phone number.

“I have a billion-dollar deal in my hands. Are you taking it?”

“What kind of business?”

“Kidnap me in three days.”

I gently stroked my stomach.

“Dario will pay this ransom willingly.”

The moment I ended the call, Dario pushed the door open.

He had drunk quite a bit. His steps were unsteady, but his vigilance did not fade at all as he seized my hand.

“What am I going to pay willingly?”

Without blinking, I answered, “I found a necklace I like. The seller said I need to pay a deposit first.”

He smiled and rested his head on my shoulder.

“Fine. I’ll pay. I’ll pay for all of it. Baby, whatever you want, I’ll give you. I’m yours too.”

Expressionless, I helped him onto the bed, tucked him in, and lay beside him with my eyes open all night.

The next day, we were halfway to the bridal salon when Dario took a call.

His expression became flustered, and he explained to me, “Wife, a shipment got held up. I have to go deal with it now.”

He held my hand with guilt.

“I’m sorry. I’ll definitely take you to try on the wedding dress tomorrow. I also ordered us a pair of rings from One Life, One Love. We’ll try them on together tomorrow, okay?”

I pulled my hand back.

“I know. Go handle your business. Don’t worry. I’ll wait obediently at home.”

He squeezed my hand.

The moment I got out of the car, he sped off.

Less than ten minutes later, Marco’s car arrived.

The second I got in, Chiara’s photo came through.

She was wearing a dazzling diamond ring and the Milan wedding dress I had chosen, kneeling across a man’s lap.

One of the man’s large hands rested on her pale thigh through the thin gauze. His lips kissed the crescent birthmark on her right shoulder, and lust swirled in his eyes.

A voice message followed right after.

“Every night, I can only get through it by turning off the lights and imagining she’s you. Baby, my good baby, I miss you. Take pity on me.”

After the hoarse voice came suppressed breathing.

In the silent car, Marco gave a mocking laugh.

Startled, I finally realized the road outside the window was not the way home.

“Marco, I’m Dario’s wife. What do you think you’re doing?”

The car stopped abruptly.

I immediately reached for the other door, but Marco moved faster. He stretched out his arm, grabbed my ankle, and dragged me out of the car.

Pain blackened my vision.

I gritted my teeth and glared at him.

“I’m carrying Dario’s child. If anything happens, you won’t survive either.”

“Idiot. You don’t really think Boss Dario would let a dirty woman like you carry his child, do you?”

A shrill laugh came from behind me.

Only then did I realize this deserted alley was not far from the bridal salon.

Chiara stepped onto my face, joy and malice bright in every corner of her eyes.

Marco walked over and wrapped an arm around her waist, kneading her hard.

Under my shocked stare, the two of them kissed passionately.

After a long while, Marco finally spoke lazily.

“You heard us outside the door that day, didn’t you? Too bad. The child in your belly isn’t Chiara’s embryo either. I randomly swapped it with some beggar’s bastard from the slums.”

My head snapped up, my pupils shaking.

Chiara laughed even harder.

“Oh no. Now you’re dirty inside and out. A bastard’s baby and a whore for a mother. Ann, what makes you any different from a woman on the street? At least they earn a few bucks. You’re paying out of pocket to carry a bastard.”

“Is one enough? How about I stuff a whole litter into you? Like a sow. Hahaha.”

My mind roared, and a thick sweetness surged up my throat.

I screamed, grabbed a stone from the ground, and wanted to drag both of them down with me.

Marco kicked me in the stomach.

I fell face-first onto the ground, spat out blood, and went deathly pale from the pain.

At that moment, Chiara suddenly staggered back in terror and swayed before collapsing.

Even though she had not scraped a single inch of skin, Dario rushed over and stepped on my hand as he ran past me.

The first thing he did was pull her into his arms.

His eyes were full of naked concern.

“Chiara, how are you? Are you hurt anywhere?”
