My Husband’s Ex-Girlfriend Is Sleeping in Our Marriage Bed Chapter 06

Vivian looked like she’d been struck by lightning. She stood up immediately, rushing over to grab the boy.

“Leo, stop! Don’t say that!”

Her words were a protest, but her movements were suspiciously slow.

The boy shouted it again, louder this time.

“Daddy, pick me up!”

This time, even Mrs. Vance’s expression shifted.

The looks from the relatives became meaningful.

Some were shocked, some were gossiping, and others were already whispering behind their hands.

I stayed in my seat, unmoving.

Under the table, Tess nudged my hand, asking silently if I was ready to flip the table.

I didn’t move.

Because I finally understood.

Today wasn’t an accident.

Vivian wearing my clothes, taking my jewelry, bringing the kid to the gala, and having him call Julian “Daddy” in front of

the whole family…

She wasn’t here for dinner.

She was here for a title.

She wanted to see if the Vances would just accept her if she forced their hand.

And I was the doormat she intended to step over.

Looking at her, the last shred of my heartbreak vanished.

All that was left was clarity.

After the party, I didn’t go home.

I went straight to Tess’s law firm.

At 1:00 AM, the lights in the conference room were still buzzing.

Tess pushed a stack of files toward me, her voice laced with fury.

“I found it. Vivian isn’t who she says she is. Her ex-husband did divorce her, but the police records for domestic violence

say it was mutual-she’s the one who trashed his car first. Also, she owned a condo that she sold last year. She’s currently

over a million in the hole with some shady private lenders.”

I flipped through the documents in silence.

The divorce decree, the travel records, the property sales, the debt collection texts, and even a recording Arthur Reed had

sent to Tess.

Vivian’s voice was unmistakable on the tape.

“Julian is a softie. As long as Leo calls him Daddy, he won’t turn his back on me. Just watch. I didn’t come back to this

country to struggle.”

Tess let out a dry, angry laugh.

“I used to think the ‘First Love’ trope was sweet. Today I realized that when a dream girl hits rock bottom, she gets real

dirty.”

I listened to the recording one more time, set my phone down, and sat in silence for a long time.

“What are you going to do?” Tess asked.

I looked at the draft of the divorce settlement on the table, my finger resting on the first page.

“File it.”

“What about Julian? You’re not giving him another chance?”

I looked up at her and gave a cold smile.

“How many chances does a man get after bringing his ex into our bedroom? How much ‘grace’ am I supposed to have?”

Tess went quiet.

After a few seconds, she cursed under her breath. “He doesn’t deserve you,”

He didn’t.

I was never the type to lose my head over a man.

I didn’t marry Julian because I couldn’t live without him, or because the Vances were loaded.

In fact, he was the one who chased me.

went behind my back, brought her into our home, let her sleep in our bed, let her parade around in my jewelry, and let

her crash your family’s gala. That isn’t ‘helping.’ Julian.”

Julian’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

“The night in the bedroom… the kid had a fever. I wasn’t thinking.”

“And the gala?” I looked him in the eye. “The gown? The ring? The kid calling you Daddy? You ‘weren’t thinking’ then

either?

He went silent.

I looked at his face and let out a soft laugh.

Julian, it’s not that you weren’t thinking. It’s just that every time, you assumed I would just take It.”

He frowned instinctively. “I never thought that.”

“But you always did it. You knew having her move in would hurt me, but you did it. You knew her social media posts were a provocation, but you just told her to delete them. You knew taking them to the gala would be a disaster, but you didn’t stop her. It’s not that you didn’t know. You just figured I’d play nice for the sake of the family. You figured I wouldn’t make a scene at a party. You figured I’d be ‘reasonable’ in the end.”

He stood there, speechless.

After a long silence, he finally spoke.

“So, what do you want?”

I reached into my bag, pulled out the divorce papers, and slid them across the table.

“Sign.”
