He Gave His Password To Her And Lost His Future Chapter 07

The laughter throughout the room died instantly.

Hazel’s livestream already had tens of thousands of viewers.

The comments exploded across the screen.

[OH MY GOD SHE REALLY WITHDREW HIS MIT OFFER???]

[This girl seriously destroyed an MIT acceptance for love.]

[She’s insane. She literally ruined this guy’s future.]

The cold, ruthless comments flooded nonstop.

But Hazel was still completely immersed in her own romantic fantasy, totally oblivious to the suffocating silence around her.

She lifted her phone higher, proudly showing the enrollment confirmation to the livestream camera.

“I knew you were supposed to move all the way to Cambridge for MIT,” Hazel said while gazing up at him. “I couldn’t handle long distance. And I definitely couldn’t stand the thought of you being surrounded by all those elite girls.”

Her voice turned almost obsessive.

“At least if you stay somewhere local, I can always see you.”

“You said it yourself before. That your future, money, Ivy League schools, none of it mattered more than me. I was just helping you keep your promise, Julian. You should be thanking me.”

Julian stood frozen in place.

It felt like all the blood in his body had turned to ice.

Slowly, he lowered his eyes toward the cheap community college acceptance letter, the kind almost anyone with a high school diploma could get into.

His fingers trembled uncontrollably.

“Hazel…” His voice came out frighteningly hoarse. “Tell me this is a joke.”

A 1580 SAT score.

Perfect 800 in Math.

Those scores had come from endless sleepless nights.

From Vivienne sacrificing her own extracurriculars to help him revise essays, patch weaknesses, and drill practice exams over and over until he clawed his way to the top.

MIT had been their dream ever since they were kids studying together in the Everett family library.

A future filled with elite labs, cutting-edge research, and limitless opportunities.

And Hazel had destroyed it all with one click.

Nobody in the private party room dared to speak.

Every senior there had survived college application season. They all understood exactly what a 1580 SAT score and an MIT acceptance meant.

Most people would spend their entire lives chasing something that unreachable.

And now it was gone.

Julian swallowed hard before asking in a strained voice, “When did you do this?”

“The day you let me borrow your laptop.” Hazel smiled innocently. “The MyMIT portal was super easy to use. I just clicked withdraw and put down ‘personal choice’ as the reason. Then I applied for community college for you and even paid the enrollment deposit. There’s no backing out now.”

She smiled brightly, completely unaware of how horrifying her words sounded.

“Isn’t this better? We’ll go to class together every day. Vivienne can’t drag you into that elite academic world anymore. We’re finally free.”

That was the final blow.

Any remaining hope in Julian’s expression shattered completely.

“Do you even understand what you’ve done?!” He suddenly grabbed Hazel by the shoulders, eyes bloodshot with fury. “This was my future!”

Hazel winced in pain and tried to pull away.

“What’s wrong with community college?!” she shot back defensively. “People transfer all the time! You can still get good grades and move somewhere better later, so why are you acting like this is the end of the world?”

Her eyes immediately reddened with grievance.

“Do you seriously only care about some stupid degree? What about me? What about us? Does our relationship mean nothing to you?”

Out of habit, she tried throwing herself into his arms.

Normally, Julian would have softened instantly. He would’ve hugged her and comforted her gently.

But this time, he instinctively stepped aside.

Hazel stumbled forward awkwardly after missing him entirely. Her face turned pale.

“Julian…” Her voice shook. “Why are you treating me like this…?”

But Julian had already walked past her.

Step by step, he headed straight toward me.
