The Wedding Red Sheet Became My Death Parachute Chapter 07

The Wedding Red Sheet Became My Death Parachute Chapter 07

After leaving the hospital, I contacted my lawyer immediately.

As a Stay-at-home Mom for the last few years, I didn’t have much liquid cash under my name.

But I wasn’t stupid. I had kept records.

Grant thought he had hidden his asset transfers well, but I had already mapped out all his shell

companies.

The next morning.

Grant had just arrived at the office when bank officials and court bailiffs blocked his path.

Based on the evidence I provided, the court had frozen all his personal accounts and assets

overnight.

Grant called me, screaming in a blind rage.

“Evelyn, have you lost your mind?! With the accounts frozen, how is the company supposed to run? How am I supposed to pay for Amber’s surgery and treatment? You’re pushing us into a corner!”

I listened to his frantic voice on the other end.

Ihad never felt better.

“A corner? Grant, the show is just beginning.”

I hung up and blocked his number.

Without money for hospital bills, Amber’s life became a nightmare.

I made some inquiries.

Because of the unpaid bills, the hospital cut off her imported antibiotics and pain pump.

She spent the nights screaming in pain, causing the other patients to complain.

Grant tried to borrow money from his “friends,” but as soon as they heard the court was involved,

they vanished.

The Sterlings drained their retirement savings to help their “precious” Amber.

But it was a drop in the bucket compared to the high cost of her surgery.

A few days later, Daisy’s preschool teacher called me.

She asked me to come in.

When I walked into the principal’s office, I saw Daisy throwing a tantrum on the floor.

A group of teachers and parents were gathered around.

Daisy was crying and shouting at the top of her lungs.

“My Mommy is a bad bitch! she hits me at home! She doesn’t let Daddy eat! She pushed Auntie Amber off a plane! Why hasn’t the police caught her?!”

The other parents looked at me with strange, judging eyes.

They began to whisper.

“So she’s the ‘evil stepmom’ everyone’s talking about.”

“I heard she drove her husband’s assistant to jump off a building.”

“How can she even call herself a mother? It’s terrifying.”

The principal walked over with a serious face.

“Daisy’s mother, your daughter has been spreading these claims all over school. It’s severely

affecting the other children’s mental well-being. We need an explanation.”

Hooked at Daisy, who was glaring at me with pure venom from the floor.

How could a five-year-old concoct such malicious lies?

I didn’t have to guess-Grant and Amber had clearly coached her.

I took out my phone and hit record.

I walked over to Daisy and knelt down.

“Daisy, tell everyone-who told you to say those things?”

Daisy glared at me.

“No one told me! You did it! Daddy said if you go to jail, we can get the money to save Auntie Amber!

Why don’t you just die?! Give the money to Daddy!”

The surrounding parents gasped in shock.

Even the principal stood frozen.

I stood up and saved the recording.

“Principal, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it yourselves. Are these the words of a five-year-old acting on her own? I’ve tried to be patient, but their schemes only get worse.”

I looked at Daisy, my eyes turning cold.

“Daisy, since you’re convinced I’m a ‘bad bitch,’ then from today on… I am no longer your mother.”

I walked out of the school.

I sent the recording straight to my lawyer.

I was going to strip Grant Sterling of everything in court.

I’d fight to make sure he left with nothing and lost custody.

But honestly, I didn’t want a thankless child like her anymore anyway.

Let them rot in the gutter together.
