Dylan’s claws froze mid-air. His body reacted instinctively to the Alpha’s scent. It was an innate response.

Kane, the Graymoon Pack Alpha, stood at the door.

Clad in a dark – gray wolf – skin coat, his face showed fatigue.

He stood still, and the air in the ward seemed to vanish.

Dylan released my neck and staggered back, pale as a ghost, hands trembling. Bailey cowered in the corner.

Kane’s gaze moved from my neck bruises to Dylan’s face. “Healer, exarĥitne her.”

The Healer entered, checked my eyes, pulse, and applied Moongrass juice. Kane stared at Dylan.

“Dylan, I know she’s your mate, and she protected me. So, I didn’t want to hold you accountable at first.”

Dylan’s eyes lit up. “Alpha, thank you-”

“But I’ve changed my mind.”

Dylan’s expression froze.

“I won’t kill you. You’ve contributed to the pack.” Kane turned to the window.

“You’ll break the Mate Bond with Lara. As of today, you and Bailey are banished.”

Bailey screamed, “No! Alpha, please! I won’t do it again!” She knelt at Kane’s feet.

Dylan also knelt, sobbing. “Alpha, I’ve served Please, for my efforts…”
