I Traded My Wolves for a Cold-Blooded Serpent, But Why is He Always Hitting on Me Chapter 08

A few days later, in a café private room.

I sipped my coffee calmly.

I looked at the man across from me and said straight out: “I know you’re in love with Ella.”

The man blinked in surprise and put his phone away.

“I also know you’ve been begging my family for marriage-just so you can have Ella. But they keep saying the older sister has to marry first.” I said.

He shrugged, smirking: “Who wouldn’t prefer your sister?”

He paused and sneered: “Ella doesn’t hate me either. She said you liked me first, so she wouldn’t steal you.”

I smiled sweetly: “I have a plan to get you what you want.”

The man stared: “What plan?”

“We’ll get a fake marriage license. Then you come home with me. You said Ella likes you-she’ll get jealous, right?” I explained smoothly.

He hesitated: “What?”

“People only realize what they have when they lose it. You act close to me in front of her. She’ll see it and break.”

I went on: Then, at the big wedding. I’ll disappear. No bride. Ella won’t let you look like a fool. She’ll take my place.”

“You tell her you’ve loved her all along. Give her a ring just for her. She’ll melt.”

The man’s eyes lit up. His tense face softened.

He mumbled: “… You’re right.”

I dabbed at my dry eyes with a napkin:

“I know I won’t be happy with you. You love Ella, and she loves you. I just want you two to be happy.”

After a long moment, the man stood and held out his hand, respectful:

“Miss Mia, I had no idea you were this kind. I misjudged you.”

1 shook his hand: “As long as you’re happy.”
