The Broken Luna Rises Chapter 08By Novel7s / May 27, 2026 The Broken Luna Rises Chapter 08Blackmoon Pack changed leadership. Most of Lucien’s assets were frozen. He sold his last few private properties, took my body, and vanished from public eye. Six months later. Deep inside an abandoned underground bunker. Lucien had spent a fortune building a sealed laboratory. In the center stood a glowing cryogenic chamber. My body lay inside, covered in frost. “Mr. Graves, the AI data model is fully imported.” A white–coated scientist wiped sweat from his forehead. “We gathered all of Elira’s social records, voice clips, and behavioral patterns.” “Theoretically, we can create a virtual digital life with ninety–nine percent similarity.” Lucien’s eyes burned with unhealthy obsession. He was shockingly thin, his eyes sunken, his jaw covered in stubble. He looked like a complete madman. “Start it.” He stared fixedly at the hologram projector in the center. A soft electric hum sounded. A beam of blue light took shape. “Me” stood in the light, wearing the white dress I’d loved most. Lucien’s breath caught. He reached out shakily, trying to touch my familiar face. His hand went straight through the hologram. He grabbed only empty air. “Elira…” His eyes were red–rimmed, voice choked with sobs. “You finally came to see me.” The holographic “me” turned slightly, eyes empty and cold. “Lucien, are you insane?” Lucien’s entire body stiffened. Those were the last words I’d spoken to him before I died. The AI copied my tone perfectly–cold, like looking at a corpse. “Elira, I know I was wrong.” Lucien dropped to his knees in front of the projection, tears pouring down his face. “I really do.” “I shouldn’t have taken Celine’s side. I shouldn’t have signed your treatment form without checking.” “I killed you. Hit me, yell at me, anything. Please forgive me.” He begged pathetically, like a stray dog that had lost its owner. “Me” stared at him without expression. A mechanical voice echoed through the empty basement. “Don’t bother me with this blame–shifting nonsense again.” “It disgusts me.” Lucien covered his face and let out a heartbroken wail. “Stop… Elira, please stop…” For days after that, Lucien lost himself completely. He stayed by the hologram day and night, talking nonstop, begging for forgiveness. But the AI had no feelings. It only repeated my cold, bitter final words, taken from my deepest disappointment. “Lucien, what if I really do die?” “Then you better protect her real good.” Each sentence was a dull blade, cutting his mind apart over and over. The science team begged him to stop this self–torture. But he acted like a feral animal guarding food and chased everyone away. “No one turns her off!” He hugged the frozen cryogenic chamber, his eyes unfocused. “Elira’s still mad at me. I have to stay with her.” “When she’s not angry anymore, she’ll smile at me.” I floated in the air, watching the once–proud Alpha turn into this hollow, broken thing. I felt nothing. He deserved every bit of it.
