The Perfect Score That Cost Me Everything Chapter 07

The Perfect Score That Cost Me Everything Chapter 07

Melody became increasingly smug, her expression impossible to hide. She even started acting like

she was the lady of the house.

“I won’t waste my breath on you. One day, you’ll all regret crossing me!”

She huffed and marched into Julian’s office, her mind filled with fantasies.

Meanwhile.

Julian slammed on the brakes in front of Sterling Group.

He was stopped at the door while trying to find Sienna.

“Move!” He shot a sharp look at the security guard, whose legs were shaking, but the man didn’t

budge.

Julian looked at him coldly and prepared to force his way in.

A cool, emotionless voice rang out from behind him.

“Mr. Vance, is throwing a tantrum at Sterling your new morning routine?”

Julian’s spine stiffened.

He turned quickly, meeting Sienna’s indifferent eyes. His heart sank.

Seeing this, I let out a cold laugh.

Rewind to yesterday.

After Julian left in a rage, I gave the order to the Sterling Board.

Once my parents understood the situation, they had no objections to my

decision.

My mother’s face twisted in refined anger.

“That piece of work!”

“A daughter of the Sterling family needing to ‘deal’ with a nobody?! How ridiculous!”

My father’s face was darker than coal.

“Divorce him! A man without self-respect is like a rotten cabbage. My daughter can find someone

ten thousand times better than Julian Vance!”

I laughed; the knot in my heart finally unraveled.

Once the lawyers had the papers ready, I signed without a second thought and sent them to Vance

Enterprises.

That night, as I was going to bed, my phone pinged.

It was a photo from Melody showing Julian taking off his clothes.

I scoffed and deleted it with disdain.

They were truly made for each other.

And then I went to work and ran into the man losing his mind at the entrance.

My thoughts were pulled back by Julian’s sudden move toward me. He stared at me, his eyes

trembling.

“Sienna, we need to talk.”

I didn’t want to be a spectacle for the crowd, so I gave him a cold glance.

“Come in.”

In the Sterling office, I sat while he stood; yet, he was the one looking small and vulnerable.

He pulled out the crumpled divorce papers and asked.

“Why are you doing this?”

I leaned back and looked at his bewildered face, suddenly laughing until I shook.

“You’re asking me?”

I stopped laughing. “I wanted a divorce, so I’m getting one. I can’t live with you.”

His expression froze.

“Is it because I shouted at you yesterday?” Seeing my silence, he hurried to add, “I’m sorry. It was a mistake. I was just stressed. I promise it won’t happen again, okay?”

I continued to look at him with indifference and sighed.

“Not really. That was just the spark.”

“Julian, do you know why I agreed to this corporate marriage with you in the first place?”

He shook his head, confused by the shift in topic.

I curled my lip.

“Because you were clean. My investigation showed you were a man of integrity.”

Julian frowned, hearing the implication.

“Do you think I’m messing around behind your back?” He explained frantically, “Sienna, I swear I

haven’t!”

I held

up a hand to stop him. “And Melody?”

He faltered. “Melody? She’s family, like a sister.”

I laughed.

I threw a set of screenshots from our home security cameras in front of him, showing their

intimacy.

“Let me ask you: if I repeatedly brought another man into our home while you were away, made him tea, gave him massages, leaned into him while ‘working’, and engaged in all sorts of suggestive behavior, could you accept that as a husband?”

“If you can say yes, I’ll withdraw the divorce.”
