He dialed Sienna’s number, but it immediately went to a disconnected tone.

The man’s spine stiffened.

He looked at his phone in disbelief.

He was blocked?

In five years of marriage, this had never happened.

He felt a wave of unease, but before he could try again, his phone died.

He missed the email from Sterling’s legal team containing the divorce papers.

The silent night was left only with the man’s long sighs.

The next morning, after soothing Melody, Julian went to the office.

As soon as he walked in, he noticed the staff in the Executive Office looking at him strangely, as if they wanted to say something but didn’t dare.

He stopped, frowning in displeasure.

“Speak.”

With the Chief Secretary absent, the Deputy Secretary cleared her throat. “Ms. Sterling and the Sterling legal team were here this morning.”

Julian was stunned. “Sienna was here? And?”

The Deputy Secretary braved the response. “She left something on your desk. You should probably see for yourself.”

Julian’s heart skipped a beat, a terrible premonition rising within him.

It made the usually composed man push the door open with a hint of panic.

Inside, he saw the file on his desk. He picked it up, and his pupils contracted.

Divorce papers.

Julian’s fingers went numb; there was a ringing in his ears, and he couldn’t believe what he was

seeing.

He scrambled to the last page, his breathing becoming erratic.

Sienna Sterling’s signature was there, written with absolute decisiveness.

His body swayed.

He hurriedly tried to call her, but as before, he only got the cold mechanical voice.

Julian was at a loss.

Just as he was about to rush out, a secretary knocked on the door.

He reported urgently.

“Mr. Vance, Sterling Group has issued a formal notice. Within three hours, they are officially withdrawing all capital from Vance Enterprises!”

The man froze, turning to grab the iPad from the secretary.

There it was the announcement from the Sterling Board.

Signed by Sienna Sterling.

Julian closed his eyes. His phone started vibrating; it was his grandfather.

“Grandpa,” his voice was hoarse.

The elder Vance sounded strong but was exploding with rage.

“What the hell have you done!”

“Why is Sterling suddenly pulling out! Why is Sienna divorcing you!”

“I’m telling you, Julian, if you don’t win her back, you aren’t the only one who can inherit this

company!”

The old man hung up in a fury.

Julian’s face was pale.

He knew it was because of yesterday, but he’d only thought it was a fight. He never imagined it

would lead to divorce.

Without further thought, Julian rushed out, heading straight for Sterling Group.

He ran past a pale-looking Melody without a second glance.

Melody stiffened.

She walked into the Executive Office only to hear sharp, mocking laughter.

“Talk about shameless! Some home-wreckers just won’t be happy until they ruin the company!”

“Interfering in a marriage… a nobody with no background. We all know how she really got to be Chief Secretary!”

Melody was humiliated. “What are you talking about!”

She bit her lip, on the verge of tears.

Another person sneered. “Don’t act so pathetic. Men might fall for it, but we don’t!”

“You must be proud, causing a divorce between the Sterlings and the Vances. Get lost, the smell of desperation is overwhelming!”

Melody was stunned. Divorce?

She ignored their insults and checked her phone.

Seeing the Sterling announcement, her heart leaped with joy.

They were actually divorcing?

Does that mean her chance… has finally come?
