My Bully Mocked Me in Front of the CEO So I Destroyed Her in Seven Languages Chapter 12

I didn’t go home that night.

Instead, I holed up in the breakroom, getting every coordination log, email thread, and draft in order.

Every single file had a rock-solid timestamp and a paper trail.

My actual chats with Arthur were all on the company’s internal system-backed up on the server where she couldn’t

touch them.

Wendy could fake all the screenshots she wanted, but she couldn’t hack the server logs.

At 11 PM, my phone buzzed.

Caleb.

“I heard someone ratted you out.”

“Word travels fast.”

“Arthur tipped me off. You need a hand?”

“No. I’ve got this.”

“You sure about that?”

“Positive.”

“Fine. But if it gets messy, let me know.”

“That day isn’t coming.”

I hung up and got back to the grind.

Mochi was going to be pissed about his late dinner.

I shot Chloe a text: “Can you swing by and feed Mochi? Key’s under the mat.”

“On it! I’ll take care of the little guy. Go kick some ass!”

The next morning at 8:30 sharp, I marched into Joseph’s office.

The welcoming committee was already there: Joseph, Julian, and Wendy.

Wendy had a few printed screenshots spread out in front of her like winning poker cards.

Joseph looked like he was presiding over a funeral.

“Hazel, Wendy is claiming that while you were translating for East Ridge, you leaked our internal pricing strategy.

She’s got the screenshots to prove it. You want to explain yourself?”

I spared the prints a glance.

Exactly what Chloe said: my photo, my name, and a “chat” with Arthur.

The content hit the numbers, but the phrasing was stiff-totally sounded like a fake job by someone who’d never seen

a real contract.

“These are fakes.”

Wendy scoffed. “Of course you’d say that.”

“And I can prove it.”

I flipped open my laptop and pulled up the actual logs.

“These are my real threads with Arthur. Everything is server-verified with timestamps. Feel free to compare.”

Joseph grabbed the laptop.

Then he looked back at Wendy’s printouts.

“The timing is all wrong. Wendy, your shots say this happened last Wednesday at 2 PM, but the system shows zero activity between Hazel and Arthur then.”

“She probably deleted the evidence-”

“Deleting on the app doesn’t wipe the server,” I cut in. “Plus, from 2 to 4 PM last Wednesday, I was in a department meeting right here. The badge-ins and room logs will back me up.”

I tossed the attendance records Chloe pulled for me onto the desk.

Wendy started to go pale.

“And one more thing.” I picked up her fake screenshot and pointed at the corner. “This UI is iOS. I’m an Android user. You’re the one with the iPhone, right, Ms. Miller?”

Wendy bolted upright.

“That doesn’t prove jack! Maybe you just got a new phone-”

“I’ve been here three years. IT records show I’ve never registered an iPhone device. Ever.”

Joseph slowly set the papers down.

He turned his gaze on Wendy.

“Wendy, where did you actually get these?”

“I… I found them on her machine-”

“I changed my password after you snooped through my stuff last week. Those files were never on my computer.”

“I-”

“You didn’t find anything on my machine because they didn’t exist until you made them.”

The office went dead silent for five long seconds.

“Wendy,” Joseph said, his voice low. “Is there anything else you want to say?”

Wendy looked at Joseph, then shot a desperate glance at Julian.

Julian kept his eyes glued to the floor, refusing to look at her.

“Julian!” Wendy snapped. “Say something!”

Julian finally looked up.

“Wendy, you went way over the line this time.”

Wendy looked like she’d just been punched in the gut.

She just stood there, looking like a ghost.

Joseph let out a long sigh.

“Framing a colleague with fake evidence is a massive violation. Wendy, you’re stripped of your ‘Lead’ title, effective immediately.”

“Joseph-”

“Also, your performance rating is getting tanked. One more stunt like this and you’re fired.”

Wendy’s lips were trembling.

She whirled on me.

“Happy now, Hazel?”

I looked her dead in the eye.

“Wendy, you’ve been coming for me from day one. I never did a damn thing to provoke you.”

“Your existence is the provocation! You speak eight languages, you played dumb for three years… you made my seven years of grinding look like a total joke!”

Her eyes were bloodshot.

I didn’t say a word.

She grabbed her bag and slammed the door behind her.

Just the three of us left.

Joseph looked at me.

“Hazel, I should’ve paid more attention to you sooner. We’ve been underselling you.”

“It is what it is.”

“For the Deputy Director role, we’re bumping you to two hundred and fifty grand. Plus, your East Ridge bonuses will be handled separately.”

“Fine.”

He hesitated.

“One more thing. Is Caleb trying to poach you?”

“He made an offer.”

“Where’s your head at?”

“I’m still here. For now.”

Joseph nodded, but he looked worried.

He knew he couldn’t keep me forever.

The whole office knew it.

But I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger just yet.
