Whispers of The Marked Omega Chapter 05

“Whose child is this?” His voice turned hoarse with undisguised shock, his fierce Alpha dominance fading away little by little, replaced by pure stunned disbelief.

I walked over to stand in front of Leo and wiped away the fresh tears on my cheeks. “This has nothing whatsoever to do with you.”

But he had already snapped out of his daze, striding quickly straight toward the young boy.

Leo hid timidly behind my back, and I stood tall to block Enzo’s bloodshot intense gaze without

flinching.

“Please leave my child alone.”

“How old is he? Is he mine?”

His voice trembled visibly. Every Alpha could instinctively sense their own bloodline, and he had already felt the undeniable connection.

“Answer me, Jade.”

I spoke in a calm steady tone. “This is my private business, and I owe you no explanation at all.”

Leo was born on a violent stormy night inside a filthy cockroach-infested low-rent apartment. I kept dialing my father’s phone number over and over again, yet no one ever answered. Thunder boomed loudly outside while I endured endless labor pains alone inside.

The second my newborn baby let out his first cry, I stared at his small face which bore such striking resemblance to Enzo, and overwhelming dizziness washed over me.

The very Alpha who hated me with every fiber of his being had left a part of himself inside me after

all.

Enzo stumbled backward unsteadily until his back hit the cold wall behind him.

“That’s impossible. There is no way this child is-”

I held Leo tightly securely in my arms. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“I always assumed you hated me enough to get rid of the baby back then.” His face drained of all color, his lips trembling uncontrollably.

I did harbor deep hatred toward him, and there were countless moments I wished nothing but

misery upon him.

Yet I had already been three months pregnant when my father suffered his sudden stroke. I was too busy dropping out of school, selling off all our family possessions and struggling desperately to keep my paralyzed father alive to even spare a thought for abortion. By the time I finally had the chance to consider it, my doctor warned me that severe anemia made the procedure extremely likely to cost me my own life.

So I chose to carry my child to full term and give birth.

It was undoubtedly the best decision I had ever made in my entire miserable life.

Leo reached out his tiny soft little hand to gently brush away the tears rolling down my face.

“Mommy let’s go home. I don’t like this mean Alpha man.”

I held him close and turned to leave.

“Wait a minute,” Enzo blocked my path, his voice rough and desperate. “I’ll cover all expenses- every single medical fee, hospital bills, everything without exception.”

“I never knew… if I had known sooner-

I cut his false remorseful words off sharply. “Don’t play the benevolent savior act with me, You are nothing but a cold-hearted devil.”

Enzo.
