Silent No More, Never Forgive My Family Chapter 04

I didn’t give her a chance to recover.

“I put the peanuts in your food. I stabbed you with the silver blade in the dungeon.”

The hall was so quiet you could hear the flames crackling.

Everyone looked at me like a criminal finally admitting guilt.

Yara’s expression shifted from shock to pure glee.

She thought I’d finally surrendered. She thought I’d finally given up.

I looked her in the eye and continued.

“And I curse you. The wound from that silver blade will never heal. Your legs will snap, and you will

spend the rest of your life as a disabled werewolf.”

Since you love playing the victim so much, I’ll make sure you stay in a hospital bed forever.

Yara’s face twisted in horror.

She knew exactly what those words meant.

“No! You can’t!”

The other wolves thought I’d simply gone mad; this often happens with exiled wolves.

Damon stepped forward to strike me,

but it was too late.

Right before their eyes, the scabbed wound on Yara’s arm burst open, gushing blood.

A second later, she screamed and collapsed, her legs folding underneath her.

“Yara!” Mom shrieked.

Damon and Alpha Marcus rushed to her side, only to find both of her legs had shattered.

Several elders whispered in terror, “The Truth-Speaking Curse… this she-wolf we just exiled possesses the Truth-Speaking Curse!”

Yara’s condition was critical. The Silvermane healer couldn’t handle such a complex case, so they

rushed her to the United Packs hospital.

Damon, eyes bloodshot, ordered the warriors to seize me and drag me to the pack hospital.

The diagnostic light flashed red.

In the hallway, Mom leaned against the wall, sobbing.

Dad paced irritably.

Damon slammed me against the cold wall, hand around my throat.

“What black magic did you use? If she dies, I will kill you myself!”

Half an hour later, the healer emerged from the operating room.

“How is she?”

He shook his head: “Her fractures are severe. She will likely be permanently disabled.”

“Disabled?”

Mom nearly fainted.

Damon staggered back, hands trembling.

The healer looked at the chart: “Alpha Marcus, you mentioned she recently suffered from an allergic shock?”

Dad nodded.

“Our tests show she has no allergies whatsoever.”

Damon whirled around: “Impossible! She’s been allergic since she was a pup! Three days ago, she collapsed after eating!”

Dad and Mom agreed, and the Silvermane healer who accompanied them also testified.

The healer at the United Packs hospital found it very strange.

He checked the reports again and concluded:

“The labs show she ingested trace amounts of wolfbane. Did you know about this?”

Everyone shook their heads.

He said: “That explains it. Even a small dose of wolfbane can cause shock-it’s an easy way to fake

an allergy.”

Just then, the nurses wheeled Yara out.

She had heard everything the healer said.

Ignoring the pain in her legs, she threw herself from the bed, weeping.

“Mom! I’m sorry I lied… I’m not allergic… I was just so scared!”

She cried hysterically, her voice trembling.

“Since sister came back, you’ve been so focused on her. I’m not your real daughter; I was afraid you’d throw me away once you had her.”

“So I took the wolfbane. I just wanted to know if you still cared about me!”

She grabbed Damon’s wrist. “Damon, Raven hates me! I risked my life just to stay by your side!”
