Don, I Left as You Wished Chapter 05

Carlo paced the hospital hallway. He lit a cigarette, then immediately crushed it out. 

A strange anxiety clawed at his chest, and he couldn’t figure 

out why. 

He shook it off and strode into the hospital room. 

Before he could ask about Diana, she looked up excitedly. 

“Don Carlo, Don Damiano! I can’t believe you actually kicked 

Celeste Costa out for me!” she cried. 

Both men froze in their tracks. 

“What do you mean she left?” Carlo demanded. “Where could 

she go alone?” 

They both stared at her, refusing to believe it. 

Diana shrank back, startled by their intense reactions. 

Damiano grew even more frantic at her silence. 

He grabbed Diana’s wrist, his grip tightening. 

“Answer me!” he snapped. “What do you mean?” 

“Don Damiano, you’re hurting me,” Diana whined, pulling 

away. “Let go.” 

Damiano snapped out of it and let go immediately. 

“I’m sorry, Diana,” he muttered. “What exactly did you mean about Celeste being gone?” 

Carlo didn’t speak, but his eyes were locked onto Diana, 

waiting for every word. 

A surge of bitter jealousy flared up inside Diana. 

Why did they care so much about Celeste? 

Both Carlo and Damiano belonged to her, and her alone. 

Diana suppressed her anger and forced a casual smile. 

“I just heard rumors,” Diana said smoothly. “They say Celeste is leaving the country with her advisor. She might never come 

back.” 

“Everyone at school says she’s running away because of the leaked photos,” she added. “Otherwise, why would a top professor take a girl with a reputation like hers?” 

The hospital room fell dead silent. 

Damiano felt like he had been struck by lightning. His mind 

went entirely blank. 

“That’s impossible,” he muttered. “I deleted those photos. 

She wouldn’t leave because of that.” 

He had taken those photos to help Carlo get revenge. 

But he never wanted to drive Celeste out of the country. 

Carlo’s eyes turned bloodshot. He lunged forward and 

slammed Damiano against the wall by his collar. 

“You swore you took care of the photos!” Carlo roared. “How 

did they get leaked?” 

“I was with her for three years!” Damiano yelled back, 

defensive. “I wouldn’t spread them intentionally.” 

“You told me to just scare her. Someone must have stolen 

them from my phone.” 

“The second it happened, I scrubbed them from the internet and threatened anyone who talked.” 

Diana quickly threw herself between them, holding their arms 

weakly. 

“Don Damiano, Don Carlo, stop,” Diana whimpered. “What if she’s just throwing a tantrum over the bracelet to make you 

worry?” 

She lowered her head, acting remorseful. 

“It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have asked for her bracelet.” 

Carlo paused, a look of sudden realization hitting him. “Right. She has nowhere else to go. She’s just acting out.” 

“I’m going home to check on things,” Carlo said, turning on 

his heel. 

Damiano looked at his retreating back and immediately 

followed him. 

“Rest up, Diana. Carlo and I have to handle something,” 

Damiano threw over his shoulder. 

In an instant, both men vanished, leaving her entirely alone in 

the room. 

Fury consumed Diana. She smashed a glass against the wall, 

screaming in rage. 

“I’m the one who grew up with them!” she shrieked. “Why do 

they care so much about that bitch? I won’t let her come 

back!”
