Rejected by My Destined Mate, Now He Craves Me Chapter 16

After dealing with Selene and the others, Zephyr still wasn’t satisfied. 

Since Nova was no longer part of the Ravencrest Pack, he could take his revenge freely. 

He made sure to leak the news to the three imprisoned in the Blackveil Cavern. 

Orion was devastated and immediately passed out. Isadora was frantic. 

After all, they had poured their life’s work into the Ravencrest Pack. 

The only one who didn’t seem to care was Selene. 

The moment she saw Zephyr, she started begging. “Zephyr, please, let me out of here, okay?” 

“I know I was wrong. Don’t lock me up anymore. I’m so scared. There are cockroaches and rats everywhere. I can feel them biting my feet. Please, just let me go, okay?” 

“Let you go? Fine. But you can only choose one person to 

release: yourself or your parents. You decide.” 

Zephyr’s tone was contemptuous, taunting. 

“Let me go, of course. They’re old! I’m still young!” 

“And besides, it was their idea to have me impersonate Nova. It had nothing to do with me. You can check, Zephyr!” 

“Take that bracelet, for example. It was Nova’s, but they said it 

was mine! Zephyr, this really isn’t my fault!” 

Zephyr wasn’t surprised to hear Selene so quickly shift the blame. He already knew how selfish she was. 

“Of course I believe you. But look over there.” 

Following his gaze, Selene saw Orion and Isadora standing nearby. They had clearly heard everything. 

“Selene! We’ve done everything for you, and this is how you repay us?” Orion’s voice was anguished. 

Having just woken up, he felt a stabbing pain in his chest. 

Isadora’s face was full of disappointment. 

She never imagined the daughter she doted on would speak about their sacrifices like that behind their backs. 

“No, no, Mom, Dad. It’s Zephyr’s doing. He’s trying to turn us against each other!” 

“That’s not what I meant!” Selene tried to explain, panicked. 

But Zephyr didn’t give her the chance. He had her taken away. 

“See that? Your precious daughter. Now you know the truth.” 

Zephyr leaned back in his chair, watching with satisfaction as Orion and Isadora’s expressions darkened. 

After coming up from the basement, Zephyr had his beta release Orion and Isadora. 

But there was a condition. They also had to sever ties with Selene. 

Having heard Selene’s heartless words, Orion and Isadora didn’t hesitate to agree. 

Zephyr was pleased. He had accomplished his goal. 

The Ravencrest Pack was left with nothing. Releasing them would just be sending them to their doom. 

“Alpha Zephyr, what should we do with Selene?” the beta asked. 

“Her? She needs to taste the same pain Nova felt.” 

He began arranging it. A car accident just like Nova’s. The allergen. The champagne tower. The drowning. The lashing. 

After starving for days, Selene ate a large amount of mango and broke out in a severe allergic reaction, covered in hives. 

Selene was hit by a speeding car, causing a compound fracture 

in her shin. 

Selene was repeatedly thrown into water, submerged in an 

ice–filled tank for two full hours. 

Selene was pushed from the second floor onto a giant 

champagne tower on the ground floor, countless glass shards 

embedding in her skin. 

Selene suffered whippings morning, noon, and night. 

After all that, Selene went from begging to numb. 

Zephyr felt no pity. 

Only when the healer confirmed Selene had completely lost her mind, driven mad, did Zephyr send her to a rogue’s den. 

He told the rogues to keep her alive but that was the only 

courtesy required. 

The rogue leader understood. 

He would ‘take good care‘ of her.
