High Paying Bounty for My Secret Husband’s One Night Stand? I Queted Chapter 12

High Paying Bounty for My Secret Husband’s One Night Stand? I Queted Chapter 12

[The new announcement is up.]

The day we returned to Eastbrook, my friend sent me another screenshot.

The once-infamous socialite chat had a new name.

Now it was called “Eastbrook Female Founders Network.”

And the pinned message had changed.

[Alexander is married. Playbook terminated. New target: Alexander’s wife, Olivia. Anyone who

gets Olivia’s personal contact info wins a fifty-thousand-dollar bounty.]

I stared at my phone and burst out laughing. These people could turn on a dime.

“What’s so funny?”

Alexander came in with a glass of milk and handed it to me.

I showed him my phone. “Mr. Harrington, apparently I’m now worth more than you.”

He glanced at the screen and raised an eyebrow.

“Fifty grand for your contact info? They’re seriously underestimating you.”

He took my phone and posted my business card directly in the chat.

[This is Olivia. You want my contact info? Add me. But before you do, have a

five-hundred-thousand-dollar startup pitch deck ready.]

The chat went dead for a second, then exploded.

[Yes! Ms. Blackwood!]

[Ms. Blackwood, take me with you! I’m done chasing Alexander. I want to build a business!]

[Ms. Blackwood, do you need an assistant?]

I watched the endless friend requests roll in and turned to Alexander.

“Alexander, did you just make me your shield?”

He hugged me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder.

“No. I just found you some employees. You said Blackwood Technologies is expanding. These socialites have plenty of connections. Might as well put them to work.”

I blinked, then laughed.

Only Alexander could squeeze the remaining value out of a socialite chat.

“Olivia.” He suddenly murmured my name.

“Hmm?”

“Don’t sell my room number anymore.”

He turned me around to face him, his gaze serious and deep.

“If you want money, sell me instead.”

I blushed and pushed at his chest. “Who would want to buy you?”

“I want you to sell me.”

He kissed me again, his words muffled against my lips.

“As long as the buyer is you, I’m available anytime.”

Outside, the Eastbrook night was still bright with lights.

And I knew that our real marriage had only just begun.

That ridiculous socialite chat had become nothing but a joke.

And in the midst of money and power, he and I had finally found the truest versions of each

other.

[I’m Olivia Blackwood. Any questions?]

I posted that final message in the chat, then turned off my phone for good.

At this moment, I wasn’t an accessory to anyone.

I was Olivia. And I was the only woman Alexander loved.
